A great replacement to Kona Grill! It is definitely in a perfect location. I have not been disappointed by the quality of sushi or service.Parking- lots of parking and lets be honest you were probably already parked in the garage so you can shop!ALL DAY HAPPY HOUR ON SUNDAYS!!! Need I say more??? Nope!Enjoy!
10/10 recommend this spot. •make a reservation if you can •sitting at the bar is great for a small party •everything on the menu was delicious and fresh! •loud and energetic environment, a really fun vibe •HH all day Sundays!
1 star is for service, food is fine.We live in the domain and have been going here almost every Sunday for the last few months. This past Sunday we went in at 12:30 to get lunch when we were denied a table because we needed a reservation. We had been so many times before and have never needed one. Mind you, the restaurant was nearly empty so there were plenty of seats. When I asked if this was a new thing the hostess replied with yes as of 10 minutes ago but I can get you a reservation in an hour. All to say I was extremely turned off by their "reservation requirement" that was all of sudden sprung on them when the restaurant was empty. There are plenty of better sushi restaurants I would opt for if I was you!
2.5 stars. I was feeling hopeful since there are such good reviews, and some friends of ours had recommended Blue Sushi and Sake. We came here for dinner on a weekday.Pros:The decor is awesome. Love the hanging lanterns and the bar area.Service was superb. Our server, Nayellie, was fantastic, super attentive, and friendly.Drinks were delicious. I'm not great with drinks that are super strong/overpowering. We enjoyed the raspberry mojito and Costa Piña.I can see the appeal for this restaurant, especially if you are vegetarian/vegan. They have a lot of Veg options. My friend who recommended this restaurant is vegetarian, and this is her favorite sushi establishment.Areas of Improvement:They should consider putting something up on the TV that isn't so off putting. The TV had a giant "fail" compilation showing random clips. I really don't want to be watching videos of people squirting juice out of their nose or cars running over people while I eat...Food wise, we thought the sushi was subpar. Maybe we were just here on an off day? The rice was SO dense on the nigiri and the tuna tower. The grains were compacted and mashed together. In addition, there is too much rice in the rice to fish ratio. The fish on the nigiri was watery and really didn't taste like anything. We did like the eel and thought the Lion King roll was ok.Austin has a lot of great sushi options to offer. Based on the food alone, I would choose to go to other establishments like Musashino's or Fukumoto.
1st time here. Really loved the sushi options to select from. Really loved the one called " The Iguana". Highly recommended!
Absolutely banger food, presentation and atmosphere are incredible, and service is kind and quick
AC didn’t work but food was delicious
A great place for a casual brunch! I'm always noticing something cool about the ambience... today it was the ceiling. We love all the varieties of dishes and drinks .
