Very disappointing overall. No presence herbs or spices in anything! Thai cuisine is supposed to be spicy, aromatic, and packed with flavor. The fresh rolls contained no crunchy component like sprouts or carrots. No herbs. The hoisin dipping sauce tasted very sour like it had expired. The tom yum soup was severely lacking acidity, not to mention that the shrimp it contained were so overcooked that they had become inedibly rubbery. The worst dish had to be the drunken noodles- the vegetables were practically raw. It was if they had been quickly steamed and then placed on top of some plain noodles. Hardly any trace of seasoning anywhere. I cannot believe anyone in that kitchen thought it was okay to send out that dish, especially for $16. Considering that there are SO many other Thai options for the same price point who offer larger portions, I won’t be back.
For the price and the servings? This place is now a new face and definitely a hidden gem
im a vegetarian & got tofu pad see ew to go, there was clearly chicken in it so i couldn’t eat it but besides that it was overall really bad anyway. pretty sad because i had high hopes but this place truly isn’t good ):
Most bland Thai food I have ever digested and I used to love this place :(
Nice staff and great location, I remember when it used to be a burger up. Lots of potential for this place but unfortunately the food was not good. If they get someone in there with actual cooking experience then I'll give it another shot, we ended up throwing away most of the meal.
Always the kindest staff and the food is great! Such a good addition to East Nashville. Best Pho I’ve had since I’ve moved here from Seattle.
Thai Esane is MUCH better than the hyped Degthai. Better food and atmosphere. Two thumbs up!
