I love the food and the price but they ask you for the tip if you don’t tip them. I heard from a conversation from the table beside me and was not trying to pay for the tip and the young guy was like “you need to pay for the tip” I was like what!!! I feel like it is optional to pay the tip or not. What you guys think?
I work in the area and drop by here for a quick lunch every now and then. I thought I was going crazy when I went by today and saw that my bowl was barely filled up like it was a month ago (the picture shown). I wish I took a picture of the bowl I ate today, but for perspective…imagine eating only a quarter of this for the same price. The PORTIONS are not consistent! Thankfully, haven’t had a bad stomach problem with their food like other reviews have, but the tipping situation is obnoxious. They have the HIGHEST tipping option pre-selected and barely serviced me the times I’ve been there. I always hit the lowest tipping option unless the staff that helped me actually showed care.
Honestly this place is so underrated. I eat mala tang at least once a week and this place is my favorite in the city. Highly recommend
honestly reluctant to review this because i don’t want it to lose its perfectly tacky luster of a futuristic spot designed in the nineties. you can design your own hot pot or order of the preset menu which seems like the inferior move because it was my first time but i was not disappointed with the mouth numbing delicious flavors from what i ordered. ample decisions to be made for a vegetarian and overall really good service and vibes all around. can’t wait to come back
Been eating there many times, everything was good. But today I order mild and it turns to be super spicy… can’t believe they made this kind of mistake.
