Yomie's Rice x Yogurt-Valley Fair

Got a mango coconut milk w/tapioca. Was not too impressed. It was OK.

Pillowy Mochi but unripe mango. It’s what I get for ordering fresh mango in January! Pretty fast service during this soft opening.

NOTE: this is review was for Yomie's Rice x Yogurt, not Hui Lau Shan. This little yogurt drink kiosk took over where Sarku Sushi used to be in the food court on the 2nd floor, next to Big Fish Little Fish. I ordered the Yomie Purple Rice Yogurt and Lychee Yogurt. The purple rice drink was amazing; it wasn't too sweet even at regular sugar level and the yogurt was perfectly balanced between sweet and sour. The purple rice added a nice texture to chew on. I haven't tried the lychee one yet, but I'm excited for it! There is a self-order screen in the front where you can order and pay without the cashier as long as you have a card or digital pay. I have to say the service was a little lackluster though... there was only one girl working at the time (around 12pm on Saturday) and she didn't smile at all or say any greetings. But the drinks were good, so it was not a major deal for me.

This used to be my to go place in the mall… sad to see its quality going down. The staff literally wash the blender in front of me, and by washing I mean rinsing it in the sink for 3 seconds. The taste is not as rich as before. Too much ice, not enough yogurt. Please bring back the old Yomie…

Very good yogurt and rice drinks. At least as good as the best boba places.

Been to 4 different locations in the Bay area. This is the best one with the most consistent flavors and best tasting all around. The other ones there was always something. The yogurt tasted off, out they were out of something.
