super amazing food and awesome performance for the one woman job! yeni works really hard to make high quality food and it really paid off! got an amazing curried brisket dish with a tangy salsa to cut through the heaviness of the dish. great texas indonesian fusion.
Food was amazing and they were super nice, never had Indonesian food but the spices/flavor were awesome
I got the fries and Batagor (fried dumplings). The fries were yummy and the portion sizes on both dishes were an excellent value for the price. I’m a huge fan of the dumplings, and the condiments were a great sweet + savory pairing. Also wanted to mention— the staff is really kind and diligent, and they make everything fresh! Definitely pay them a visit if you’re in the area and curious about Indonesian food :)
If I could only go to three restaurants in Austin this would be one, the others being Barley Swine and Uchi. It’s not the same type, of course, but if what you want is food cooked with depth and flavour and skill and honesty and care, it’s that good. I’ve been many times and the quality has been uniformly faultless. I’m constantly surprised this place still exists and hasn’t been raptured to a proper city. (If you’re feeding kids and don’t know what they might like, get them the chicken and rice.) Kid-friendliness: Most kids will reliably eat the chicken and rice.
Another amazing and unique halal food option in the Austin area. Yeni’s fusion offers an amazing variety of Indonesian food. I particularly loved the chicken with yellow rice. The chicken was super moist, juicy and nice with flavors that complimented the rice well. The brisket curry is a great twist of flavors. For any wings lovers, Indonesian flavored wings is a fun twist of savory and spices. The owner is very kind and passionate about her business. Wishing them many years of great business!
I had the vegan dish. It was ok. My husband really enjoyed his plate.
