Windy City Taproom

Awful.

I waited for 5 minutes, no one acknowledged I was there. The guy next to me asked for a menu for me when they asked if he needed something. I waited another 10 minutes. I never saw the bartender again. I left. Everything was equally terrible at the other airport restaurants, so I came back. I got a beer and ordered food all at once since I didn’t know if anyone would come back. I drank my beer. I ordered a second. The bartender was very difficult to get service from. Eventually I had to leave to catch my flight and I asked to have the food I didn’t receive removed from my bill. The bartender blamed me for not getting the food and said he’d have to wait for a manager to correct my check. I was moments between leaving without paying my bill but catching my flight, or paying and missing it. I barely made it. I try to give the benefit of the doubt, but this place suuuuuuuucks.

Ok joint however if they can add few vegetarian options for munching except fries that would make it awesome as its just at B gates and ok

Called a taproom, but no beers on tap…what the??? Only nice thing about the place was the bartender. She was friendly, attentive, and sympathetic to non-taproom situation. If you’re not going to get the tap system fixed, change the name.

I remember coming here years ago. Place was hopping, business travelers, good food at the bar, bar service was excellent, strong drinks (double for a dollar more), lots of life. Walk in there now and it's an utter joke. Can't get a cocktail to save your life and I've had stronger drinks at a junior high dance. The food is awful. I could have made the food they served for $1.50... sell me frozen things and give me a microwave. Avoid. BYO PB&J.

Others have said it all ... A tap room with no taps? Worst of all the bartender laughed and said there were not any taps for a long time. That was the most service we had all night. Had to almost tackle her to pay the bill. Is there any management here? It's an airport bar, I expect very little, but still this was sad.

Stopped by on my way to my gate on the B Concourse. I had a nice cold beer and the bartender was entertaining. There are no beers in tap at the "Taproom." Not much bar seating and with only one bartender, service was slow do to all the people wanting a beverage.
