Food is always so well prepared! Our waiter was fantastic! A hidden gem in del Mar!

This is one of those sleeper restaurants that shouldn’t be missed. They have some of the best clam chowder in San Diego and their buttermilk friend chicken salad is fantastic. I’m not a fan of kale, but West End’s kale salad is on my list of favorites. Just ask for an extra wedge of lemon on the side. The location of this restaurant makes it a local favorite but not very accessible for visitors. It’s worth finding. While it’s on a busy street, it’s near the ocean and has views of the lagoon. With both indoor and outdoor dining, this small restaurant feels quaint and cozy, but offers enough space for those who are Covid cautious. The staff couldn’t be nicer and I always feel welcome whether I’m in shorts or in heels and a dress.

Service sucks!

View is gorgeous, service is poor, and the food is very average. Won't be visiting again. I just don't know how you serve cold coffee? Then when they took my card to pay the bill, the hostess asked for my PIN? Topped it off by asking if I wanted a receipt. Who does that?

Great little spot. Perfect atmosphere and really good food. I came here for brunch and enjoyed it. Highly recommend this spot!

Really great spot. Menu was good though the pancakes that the adults wanted was on the children’s menu (but they accommodated), and the folks that got the eggs Benedict didn’t like the hollandaise. I tried it too - way too lemony. Not traditional at all. Hashbrowns tasted of smoke from the grill. So while the pancakes and French toast were good, the eggs Benedict wasn’t so much. Service was really great. Location can’t be beat.

Both the Turkey Club and the Salmon Burger were amazing. The fries however were overcooked. Great portion size and great cut for the fries, just sat a bit too long in oil. The atmosphere and service is great. Prices are adequate for the area.

Loved the old Iris and it's replacement just as good. Parking: Due to its location can be a issue finding parking. Rear lot is big. Liked it for lunch both times I visited.

Really great place that we'll definitely be back to.

We had an amazing dinner at West End Bar and Kitchen. The service was fantastic! Everyone on the staff was attentive and especially our server, Sonny. Everything from our artichoke appetizer, the veal ravioli, the lamb chop, and the shrimp pasta was absolutely delicious! We are only in town a few days, but are hoping to make it back for another meal.
