This was our first time coming to this restaurant and we had high expectations considering the price of the food. We were a party of 8 once we finally got to our table we were waited on by Anna P. She started out really good and attentive but as time went on she really wasn’t as attentive as she once was I know there were other party of people there also but to not even check to see if anyone needed anything else to drink is ridiculous. Once our food came out we were all like the food looked good and everything but once we started eating most of everyone ‘s food was warm and not hot as it should’ve been which means 10/10 times that our food had just been sit back there. How can you get fries wrong no excuse that fries should have been cold . I had the rib eye steak loaded baked potato and broccoli. The steak had a great flavor but it really wasn’t medium like I requested. My potato was horrible and I don’t even want to talk about my broccoli it was so crunchy it was like it had bee steamed for 2 minutes and then put on my plate and sat to the side. No on at the table ate their food except for my husband and my aunt who birthday was tonight and her grandson everybody else took there food to go. Probably won’t be coming back.

Do not go between 3 and 5 p.m. ! This was our family go to place for special occasions for many years. Sadly, this past Valentines day was one of the worst dining experiences i can remember! Staff ignored our table for over 20 min. after being seated. Only half of the tables has guests at the time. I asked the floor hostess what was the secret to getting one of the many servers standing around chit chatting to come over to our table and was told that we had water ( provided by the seating hostess ) and that we were quote "fine". Same short staff, and shift change excuse was repeated multiple times. Mistakes occurred repeatedly during the service , and the food was mediocre at best. Biggest complaint is hostess being rude, dismissive as well as petty. Manager said he would talk to them. At $165.00 after a tip for 2 people, One would expect to be treated better than if you where at an IHOP on it's opening day. Time to find a new place! Dietary restrictions: You get a speech about how much effort they put into ensuring gluten free options and than bring you a salad with croutons in it.

This is the second time Me and my wife have been there and yet again they were a great choice. Brunch was delicious and the the waiter was attentive and the food was right on time. I would recommend the tavern to anyone. But make sure you make a reservation because it's always busy but I understand why!!!

My wife and I made reservations to eat a late valentine's day dinner. Came in a was seated pretty quick. Wasn't packed at all. Waiters and staff were buzzing by. After 30 minutes, no one had came by to even take our drink order. We were able flag down the hostess that seated us, and tell her what's going on. She was shocked no one one had came by yet. After she left, we heard a waitress(possibly the one assigned to our section, I don't know) apologize with the table behind us about the food being wrong. Apparently other people's orders were wrong because of a shift change happening a d being short staffed. Again, we saw several waiters tending to tables. We even saw a table to the side of us get drinks, have their orders places, and they were seating roughly 10 minutes after us. I saw the hostess find the waiter (one we heard tell the table about the wrong orders/shift change). At this point it's been 40 minutes, and my wife and I decide to leave. I am not one to complain about resteraunt service. I under stand the stresses of people working in the service industry. But this was kinda rediculous.

We had a 6:30pm reservation for six adults. I inquired about status of our table at 7:05 and was told we had 3 more reservations ahead of us. At 7:30 I inquired again and it appeared but no one confirmed they had given our table to a different party even though our name was never called and we remained in the foul smelling lobby area the entire time. We finally were seated without an apology at 7:40. (One of the hostess was very rude and stormed off in the midst of the discussion.) However, a server did not come to our table until 7:50 and we didn't even receive water until 8:05. I understand mishaps happen but no one apologized or attempted to remediate the situation. I am very disappointed in the service and the lack of concern to improve the customer experience once the issues were brought to management's attention.

Had a 6:30 reservation. Didn’t get seated until 7:50. Then once seated no one came to table to take drink orders for 25 minutes. Never once received an apology. Worst service I’ve ever experienced from Village Tavern. Assuming management has changed since the last visit.

Terrible experience. 1.5 hour wait for a reservation, followed by slow service for water, drinks and food. The lobby smells like vomit. No apologies by management or discount provided. For the quality, food is overpriced. If it weren't for the company of great friends, I would have left.

What a nice place! The menu is notable for its variety -- offering everything from brilliant steak selections to sandwiches, pizza, salads, some seafood...and all at competitive prices. The interior is comfortable and looks just great. Out meals (prime rib, blacked salmon tacos) were fabulous. We did desserts, too -- key lime pie and godiva chocolate torte, and all was wonderful. Service was, as always, friendly and professional. We couldn't recommend Tavern more highly.
