VEGAN VIBES Cafe & Juice Bar

Was my boyfriend and myself’s first time here today. We walked in to great music, a cute set up, and in general a nice atmosphere. We were greeted and seated, and were asked if it was our first time there, which we replied yes. We ordered a few things to try dining in, but were mainly there to take out (which I mentioned to the waitress that we would be taking more to go)and bring most of it back home. We ordered a cold pressed juice (Caribbean Sunset) which was delicious, and served in a glass mason jar. We split the Philly Cheesesteak, and Steak Tacos. The potato wedges that came with the cheesesteak were awesome, but the two main meals lacked flavor. The cheesesteak was okay, but have had better, more flavorful vegan ones. The tacos had a great pico de gallo and fresh guacamole, but again the “meat” lacked flavor. Again it was okay, just a bit underwhelming. This was something we were going to overlook considering the many other options on the menu, and we were still eager to try a few more items. However, to our disappointment, not once did anyone come over once to check how the food was, ask if we needed anything (drink, napkins, etc), or even to take our to go order. We waited and waited ( we were the only ones there) and the waitress/counter girl (who never introduced herself or gave her name) was just on her phone. I even had to yell over to her three times for a to go box several times (which she didn’t hear being so absorbed in her phone) so my boyfriend finally yelled it louder waving his hands in the air. We were sitting right in front of her. Again, no one came over even once while we ate so our to go order was never taken, and by the time we were ready to leave, we waited for the check. And waited. And waited. Had to go up to counter and ask to pay. Again, this was acknowledged by her that it was our first time there. I have waitressed and worked in restaurants for over 20 years, and I will say confidently that was terrible service. No checking in at all. Knowing we were going to spend more money to go and not even coming to take that order is crazy. We would have spent at least $60 more dollars in takeout and she would have gotten a bigger tip due to a bigger bill. We traveled from a few neighborhoods over so it was a huge bummer. So disappointed. We were so excited to try this place out and unfortunately it’ll be our last. Edit to add to owner’s response: First you replied apologizing about my experience and that you encourage me to contact you regarding that experience, which I intended to do. Then changed your reply to something that’s honestly a bit rude. We were very hungry, so yes we finished most of the food, but maybe WOULD have ordered something else if the girl came over ONCE to check on us. If she did maybe I could have asked for more sauce, or something else to add. I also wanted to try a second juice while dining in and couldn’t. The whole main point of my complaint was that we WANTED to order more food to try from your establishment and were neglected. Please do better in your responses.

It’s great to have fresh and healthy juice drinks in East Falls. The food is made to order here and really delicious. I love the atmosphere and the service is warm and friendly. The owner is really sweet too and I hope this business stays in Philly / East falls for many years. I recommend ALL their smoothies and juice / vegetable drinks and the burgers and sweet potato fries are the Best!

Got kicked out of the front door during open hours before I could even place an order. Person at front counter was rude, like we were inconveniencing them with our presence. Haven't been back since.

I was super excited to try this restaurant. The music was great. We came right after a rush so they were out of a few things we wanted to order. However I was satisfied with my second option. The food does take some time to make but worth it. Staff was very friendly and the space was clean. I would go back again.

Delicious vegan food! A staple in East Falls.

been here twice and really dig it here, but the food takes forever to come out. don’t eat in or get take out if you need to be somewhere. we waited almost an hour for two dishes. the staff was super nice though and the vibes were great, just be aware of the wait.

Went in for the 1st time during our annual January Daniel fast. The menu was awesome. Service was great; so friendly, caring, and helpful. The atmoshpere; welcoming, quaint, inviting and comfy. Now to the best part; the yum yums (Delicious!)[Shrimp tacos with sweet potatoe fries. Seitan steak and brown rice and the beet juice - intoxify]. Cant wait to come back and bring some friends. PS: Great neighborhood, plenty of parking. Come hungry. God bless
