All good, but the Aburi Shime Saba is kinda fishy..
The bestest udon in the south bay. Dinner time is always packed, but if you arrive at 11 am for lunch (brunch), it’s empty.
My wife and ordered the oxtail udon, gobo niku udon and tempura shishito pepper. Everything was delicious. Ambiance is chill and staff are nice.
Great texture and chewing udon noodle and the soup is amazing!
Amazing ox tail udon. Very tender. I added a poached egg to it. Broth clean and not salty. We also had chicken karaage and fried whole squid, which was also tender and flavorful. If you are into udon, this is the place to get something that is different from the others. This place gets busy so it's a good idea to get there at opening.
These are the best udon noodles in Bay Area. The noodles are not too soft and very good. Most udon noodles served in the U.S. are soft, but in Japan, noodles with a firm texture are more popular. The udon at this restaurant is the kind of udon that Japanese people like!
