Love this place anytime we are in town! The queso is so yummy!
I went to torchys on 3/7 and will not be returning. After waiting for someone to take our order (as the front of the restaurant was empty), we received an extremely rude employee that seemed inconvenienced by our presence. I ordered a beef fajita, chips with salsa, and a side of rice. It says a lot that the chips were the best part of my meal. After being told they were out of rice, I waited 15 minutes for my food to come out. That is a short time, so I did not mind waiting, but was extremely disappointed when the food arrived. My fajita had been sitting so long that the tortilla was drenched in grease, falling apart, and cold. The rice was still crunchy, extremely undercooked, had no flavor, and was genuinely gross. I had one bite and threw away the rest. For $20, go somewhere that has edible food.
I ate here this past Sunday with a couple of friends and had a wonderful time, but not too long after I started getting sick, dizzy, sweaty, etc. It was definitely food poisoning. I had a grilled chicken burrito, nacho chips with quac, and churros. Please make sure to always wash hands, change gloves, wipe down surfaces since you cook both poultry and fish. As a result of this occurrence, I will unfortunately not be eating at this location again.
They don't seem to realize that Beyond meat comes pre-seasoned already - their version is INSANELY salty. Like it seems like a big chain wide recipe oversight. They tell us to xeriscape our yards, but they forget about the Beyond meat tacos at Torchy's. HOW MUCH WATER DO WE NEED?! Dietary restrictions: Vegan
I always sit at the bar and have great service at any of their locations. If you're adventurous, they have lots of margs to try. Vegetarian options are really tasty and I appreciate being able to get migas in Colorado (and it's served all day!). Also a sucker for the green chile queso.
Torchy's is always solid, but the brisket missed the mark. Dry and tough.
Excellent service and food every time!
