Overpriced crab for the quality we recieved. The place was not very busy so no reservations needed. Fries were good.
We came in from out of town. The shrimp was chewy, and extremely expensive. It tasted good, but wasn’t worth it. We split a boil and I ended up with 4 shrimp, a small redskin potato, and half a sausage for $20. Left hungry. The place has upscale prices for a crab shack atmosphere. Don’t believe the social media hype.
Meh. Everything was okay. $129+tip for 4 drinks, an app, a bowl of gumbo and the smallest portion of snow crab. 2 drinks and the app were on happy hour! They asked if we wanted lobster in the $7 HH Mac, and to be fair, they gave us a lot of lobster... But it was an extra $32. $39 for HH lobster Mac. All in all it cost like 50% more than I expected it would. Maybe thats on me. Edit: in response to the response, I'm glad y'all came by our table a few times, but I'm not sure how we could have known what a shock the bill (which took nearly half an hour after our last bite btw) was going to be until we got it, so your point is moot. Like I said, I'm somewhat to blame & if I was going to be a penny pincher I would never have agreed to this place to begin with. But I can't say the experience don't leave a sour taste in my mouth.
We ordered the cajun spiced boil consisting of clams, mussels, and snow crab legs and 1.5 dozen raw oysters from the Gulf and the East Coast. All surprisingly lacked salt even the cajun boil and the seafood itself were lackluster for their high price. The mignonette disappointingly lacked flavor and it is usually my go-to on raw oysters. However, the gumbo surprisingly was the star of our meal. It seems like this place has good reviews and a lot of potential so I will revisit again in hopes to be more impressed with the actual seafood.
Went on a Saturday night, plenty of free tables, so I wouldn't say you need a reservation. Ordered the atlantic oysters, calamari, and king lobster and snow crab boil. The crab was amazing, especially paired with the lemon-butter garlic sauce. The waiter Garrett helped us break down the lobster, really great service! Also ordered drinks, and they were pretty good, not very strong. It's a bit of a sports bar vibe, but it's a cute place for date night.
First time to eat at Tlc. Food was of the highest quality and very well prepared. Clean friendly atmosphere. Had shrimp boil and gumbo and grilled oysters. All excellent! Definitely recommend and will be back.
