Tin Drum Asian Kitchen & Boba Tea Bar - Akers Mill Square

I’ve picked up food from here twice and I don’t think I’ll return again. The place looks really hip but the customer service is awful. The food is warm but that’s the only good thing about it. Everything tasted off.

Major difference in taste between this location and the location in Decatur! This location in Atlanta was terrible! They barely seasoned anything, they added less noodles and more water! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION I will definitely be disputing this with my bank!

No complaints on my take out order. I got something fairly simple. It was their more popular Korean fried rice and I added shrimp. Shrimp is only like an extra $2.50 and they give you 6! Now that’s a great deal. Only thing I’d change next time is adding more sauce but I’d definitely order again. Food was finished fairly quickly.

Have dined here multiple times. Can be hit or miss. April 2023, dined in, no complaints. Customer service was great and the food was cooked fresh and served hot. Panang Curry King really stole the show. Came back May 2023 for a large takeout order - $135 worth - and found a bug in my food. Contacted management, issue was never rectified. Dined in March 2024, at the behest of a friend. Restaurant exhaust system was not functional so dining room was a bit smoky. Otherwise, food and customer service were both incredible.

Slow and not so friendly. Meh.

I was looking forward to trying both the food and boba, just for my order to arrive and have missing items.

The Boba tea is not at all good and doesn't have any flavor

I’m so surprised by all of the bad reviews - my experience here has always been great. I haven’t tried everything, but the Pad Thai and Singapore Curry Chow Mein are super tasty. I also love their pot stickers, and I love how they have tofu as a protein option for most menu items. When I order online for pickup, it’s always ready on time. One of the ladies at the counter remembered me by name, which of course, is alway nice as well. I think for anyone thinking about trying this place out, you should go for some of the more popular menu items.
