That banana nutella cookie is so good. It's great because it's not one of those "ice cream scoop" cookies (Think Teddy V's), solid amount of nutella. If your someone who loves the dough of chocolate chip cookies and feels most place put to much chocolate in their cookies. The banana nutella is the cookie for you.

I love this little bakery; just off Bluebonnet and South Lamar. I feel like nobody knows it’s here in the Zilker neighborhood. It’s next-door to a small convenience store and a Washateria that look untouched by time. It feels like old Austin. I’ve only had cookies/cakes here but everything looks great. My neighbor has great things to say about their sourdough breads.

I have lived in and around Barton Hills for over 4 years and just recently heard about Thoroughbred. There is nothing better than fresh bread and cookies as the smells are intoxicating. I bought a loaf of white bread because it is only offered Tuesdays/Thursdays and Saturdays ( I think), the egg, avocado and cheese burridough and I loaded up with cookies...chocolate chip also with pecans, Pb&J, and pumpkin cream cheese. All were very good, but the chocolate chip was the clear winner. Obviously, I am not the only one that agrees because when I arrived at 9:30am, there were only 2 cookies left!

Some of the best bread to be found in Austin. Am a repeat visitor. Delicious if u like sourdough.

We ordered 150 of their stuffed cookies for our wedding. They were an absolute hit!! The ordering and pickup process was seamless, and I can’t stress enough how much people loved the cookies! Thank you, ThoroughBread!!!

Was so excited to come here today for the first time and I have to give it 5 stars for food but 2 for service. We ordered two “burridoughs”, one cookie and a loaf of sourdough. Everything was amazing! The seasonal cookie, I’m guessing, pumpkin cream cheese tasted like fall in a cookie and the burridoughs were full and very satisfying. However, I wish the service matched the food. I simply asked the woman behind the counter “what cookie would SHE get, the banana or pumpkin” to which she snaps “I can’t make decisions for you”. I didn’t ask the woman which one I should get I was looking for a recommendation from her personal opinion like I should be able to do in a food establishment without a harsh response. I typically wouldn’t go back to a place with such poor customer service but in this case I will go back because the food is that good.

Just the best! Lovely little neighborhood bakery specializing in sourdough bread and a few speciality treats. Everything they do has an attention to detail and balance that makes it so good. The white sourdough is airy and the crust is crunchy. And get the cookies, just do it.
