This place is quite good. The coffee martini is one of the best I've ever had. The friend chicken and burrata are very good. Old fashion is pretty good. Would come back.
The Vasper is eclectic. The food is sub par. I’d like to try their upstairs bar. The bar is a casual “secret garden”, with an upscale style to the dining room that is almost completely separate from an architectural design. I observed many of the menu items and tried several. The meals are a little more expensive than I’d expect for the portions, this is definitely not Carmines though. I would say the burrata toast was tasty (but inappropriately priced). Don’t get the chips, very underwhelming. The clam pasta had a good flavor, undercooked pasta, guessing the chef might be new as it took a very long time for that to come out. Saw someone order the short ribs those looked solid, lobster is definitely not enough for 2 unless you like to eat all the carbs. Pleasant staff and ambiance though. They had a couple interesting drinks on the menu, couldn’t follow the pricing (a martini was $20, but a bourbon specialty drink was $18). Unfortunately as is, can’t see why I’d recommend this place or go back.
My new favourite place to eat. Absolutely incredible!
Spent the weekend in NYC at the hotel next door so my fiancee and I decided to check this place out. Had lunch here both days we stayed - roasted chicken with a yogurt dressing salad, steak au poivre and frites, and the buttermilk fried chicken with a chipotle lime yogurt. Loved both chicken dishes and especially the shoestring fries, the steak wasn't really my thing but my fiancee was a big fan. Also started with oysters and they came with the most delicious pineapple-flavored hot sauce. The mix drinks were also really good, I especially liked the paloma - creamy, smooth, with that tart grapefruit flavor I can't get enough of. The atmosphere was unique and inviting - sleek white marble tables and lots of greenery, menu was pretty eclectic, some of the recipes had unique ingredients you don't see every day. I wanted to try the lamb and blackberry, but that wasn't available on the lunch menu unfortunately. Will definitely be back next time we're in the city!
Stopped by The Vasper after seeing some great pictures online and it did not disappoint. I was there for lunch with my wife and it was just perfect. Nice decor, nice people/staff, and the food was great. We had the fried chicken, Gem Salad, and Agnolotti (amazing). Will visit again soon!
Service is very slow and place is very noisy. Food was ok, not great
Espresso martinis were light and delicious. The burrata was creamy with a crunch of nuts and softness from the roasted tomatoes. The ravioli popped of flavor with the mix of light lemon and very thinly sliced carrots. The friendly staff made everything more enjoyable as well! Definitely recommend stopping by, either just for a drink or dinner!
A good place, food was tasty ,quiet place with good ambience.wish there were more vegetarian options Vegetarian options: Few but fresh and well made
Wow, absolutely incredible, the short rib, the chicken, the steak. Everything was over the top good, we shared the pasta and some deserts as well. The bar alone is a reason to frequent this place. Top notch mixologists at he helm. The vibe and feel is also high end but welcoming. I keep coming back and I swear it better each time.
