Turkey + cheese sandwich was really good.
i remember eating at this place with my girlfriend from high school (i thought i was going to go to ucr but decided on ucsb instead lol) but anyways, this is a great place, an awesome hangout spot their turkey sandwich is amazing
When to pick up my online order on Weds 3/27. The visit was less than desirable, as some college kids were goofing off and seemed to be "too busy" to greet me, especially the one guy with the dark black hair. It wasn't into I walked closer to the counter did someone ask if I had a order. All the items were placed on the side, and I was told "I put that in the comments". Some older gentlemen who I assume was the owner asked one of the staff if I were someone else, but did not greet nor thank me for my business. Very disappointed because I've heard great things about this place and wanted to try it for myself for the first time. My food looked and tasted mediocre at best. I will not be back.
I hate it when the food is good but the staff is odd. Like damn the sandwich was good but the stuff is super rude wish i could come back
Steak and cheese was more than the sum of its parts! Can’t go wrong with the big dude either. Well maintained and a great spot to sit down for lunch or take out. I suggest calling in advance when in a hurry just in case it’s busy.
Favorite sandwich place in Riverside. The Big Dude is outstanding!!
The food is not the problem, while their business attitude is! It’s a residential community with several business spot. But they would play very loud and noisy music from 720am to 1600pm, which means if your apartment is near their shop, it could be a disaster for your rest. You can’t even take a good nap during this time. Communication does not work at all. Would move soon and never visit this position again.
Great old-school sandwich shop next to UCR. Staff are extremely friendly, and prices are reasonable. Has a mix of both indoor and outdoor seating. Quality is good - bread is always fresh and veggies are always crisp. There's a reason this place has been around for 50 years now. A throwback in the best way possible.
first time here, ordered the “The Big Dude” 7in came out to $11. I hear it’s their most selling sub. It’s okay it’s not bad BUT ITS WHATS IT HYPE TO BE . it’s just a regular sandwich. I’m sure they have better on the menu , will be going back to try something else
