sadly driving by yesterday sign on door says permantely closed peeked inside and it looks cleaned out from the siesta sand Leases not renewed by 2 businesses in Village The Seafood Joint, located at 217 Avenida Madera, and the neighboring Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream, located at 219 Avenida Madera, have permanently closed their doors. Neither have had their leases renewed effective Sept. 1 and did not pursue other leasing options, according to the Davidson family — landlords for the building that houses the two businesses.

Fresh local fish, in a small shop without the expensive frills.waitress was very nice and chatty. Sitting just 10 feet from the crab steamer really makes you hungry when a fresh batch is put in cook. Hushpuppies were piping hot and fresh, didn't want to wait for them to cool down to pop them in my mouth. The blackened triple tail was excellent along with the scallops and shrimp. The low cost no frills dining area paired with the quality seafood and presentation make this a good value. The only things that were a little off was the wobbly table, and the calamari appetizer seemed like it had freezer burns.

on vacation n ordered almost the whole menu, woowwww best seafood ive had to date, wife ate all my sashimi tuna. will be back next yr.

Reviews must be fake or people have low expectations for the food they eat. It started with a simple glass of unsweetened ice tea which I requested lemon and sugar. I was served a lukewarm glass of ice tea with no lemon. I eventually had to get it myself. Clams were ok but nothing special. Fish taco was bland. Blackened should be flavorful and spicy. This was neither. Hushpuppies were also bland and tasted reheated. Tuna taco was the worst. Supposedly the tuna was delivered in the morning. Tuna was barely cooked and tough. It was coated with some type of sweet sticky glaze which only made it worse. It was served on a chipped plate with sloppy grilled veggies. I get the kitchy beach vibe but this was sloppy. When I received the bill, I noticed that my $18 tacos were charged at $22. When I questioned my bill, I was told it was market price which was not stated on the menu. My bill was adjusted with a little attitude. I left a tip but not sure why since it was almost non existent. Never again. This was a one and done for sure. If you want quality food, you have to do it yourself. My son thought his dog may enjoy the tuna since she will eat anything but I encouraged him not to feed it to her since she may get sick. Cook looked sloppy and unkempt. Restaurant was not very clean. Zero stars.

We had a group of 11 and everyone finished their dinner, even the kids! Great food! Parking: Depending on time of day, parking right in front of diner. Kid-friendliness: Good food and easy atmosphere!!!

Had the peel and eat shrimp, Blackened Grouper tacos, and Wife had the blackened sea scallops. Some of the best seafood we've ever had!!! Food was bursting with flavor, cooked perfectly and price was reasonable considering the amount of food and quality. The owner is really nice, a local, and from the area. Do yourself, friends, and family a favor - GO HERE AND EAT SOME FRESH SEAFOOD!!!!! Sadly, they are closing down August 31 because the landlord is moving in a beauty salon and massage parlor?! WHY for the love of fresh seafood are you not allowing the owner to stay and provide this wonderful food to everyone who comes to visit the area!!! I hope the owner can find a new place because he knows his seafood and prepares wonderful cuisine! Wherever he goes, find him and eat at his new place!!!

Incredible food and service! All the seafood is fresh and the food came out fast and delicious! Highly recommend!
