This was my 1st and now last time here at red door. Pete was the bartender we ordered from. I came in with a friend, we asked for a water and menus. We stood at the end of the bar while pete took care of others without so much as a glance in our direction. We ordered, got a number, started a tab at 6:30pm. 8:15ish, i get a notification that i spent $80.33 at red door, which was confusing as we ARE STILL HERE(3/14/24). So i, went to ask what happened, because after we ordered our food, our tab was $46, so how did i spend $80. I went to talk to pete, he said "i had to close your tab because day shift ended and night shift started. I gave myself 20%. I can get you the check if you want." 1. I am a server AND a bartender downtown. 2. At no point, did ANYONE say anything to us about needing to close our tab. Pete knew EXACTLY who i was when i walked to the bar, so he KNEW i was still here. 3. Had i had a chance to tip, it probably wouldn't have been 20%. Pete rang in our order, poured me a coke and my friend 2 drinks. He did not run our food, did not check on us, did not see if we needed a refill, nothing. I don't and wont understand why this happened, but i wont be returning and i think anyone who wants to come here should have a heads up.
Cool place. Lots of room. Went there after Noah Smith performance at The Local. Great pizza.
This bar is interesting the food and service is very good. You need to walk around inside this place and check out all the wall hangings. Signs, posters ect..... Take a peak down the hole in the floor. Dan was the Bartender on Wednesday in the afternoon he's a real pro!!!! Parking: There are some parking spots you pay with an app.
Serena was wonderful. Our first time here and we’ll be adding this to our regular place to visit from now on. The cocktails were on point and the and the atmosphere was perfect such a nice throwback to the prohibition era. From the doorman who is dressed to the nines to our cocktail server, Serena who looked amazing Great service and great people.
Great late night crowd, open later than most bars!
Went there with a friend last night and the doorman claimed an employee told him not to let us inside. I never saw him talking to anyone and didn’t see anyone leave before we walked up. Dude was desperate to make the place seem exclusive. I always thought red door was trashy but that was just wild.
