Amazing location for a cute lunch & people watching in Downtown Savannah! Reasonably priced for the craft cocktails and large portion sizes! We went for a late lunch and were throughly impressed by our food & service! Plus they are dog-friendly with a semi-covered outdoor patio!
The food was good however our server was impatient and not very friendly. The manager had to step in on several occasions to meet EVERY need. If you're in the Savannah downtown area it's a great place to visit.
Best shrimp and grits on this planet !!
Ben was our waiter. Ask to sit where he's serving. He was very attentive and made great suggestions from drinks to desert. We were very pleased. We look forward to visiting again.
Steak was good. Server was great. Pretty expensive - $200 for four.
Loved the Caprese Grilled Cheese! Sat at the bar and the bartender, Tristan, was friendly and helpful with picking out our entrees.
The Public Kitchen and Bar is beautifully situated amidst The Historic Sections scenic boulevards, squares, and the oak trees bedecked with Spanish Moss. Eating outside would be delightful in the right weather! Many locals said that they serve the best shrimp and grits in town, and I would not argue with that!!! Pleasant, friendly, courteous service and a sleek modern decor which somehow blends perfectly with the stately and historic surroundings. Expect to wait for a table, though the turn-over seems to be very quick.
