Loved the experience here. Only negative is that they don't have WiFi at all.
I have been going to picnic for years and yes it’s always been a great place for lunch or just grab & go love the staff. Parking: Plenty of parking spaces.
The Picnic chicken salad is a Nashville staple and used to be really great decades ago. But these past 5 years or so the chicken salad is not good at all. Over cooked inedible chunks just make me want to toss it in the trash. I'd love to see them get this back to the standards we have come to expect from The Picnic.
First time visitor to The Picnic. Highly recommended by locals and it was, indeed, excellent!
I love Anne’s coconut cake, it’s the best!
The food is so so good and they will go above and beyond in service. I called wanting to order a cake and I called too late but they made some phone calls and made it happen for me for a birthday cake for a friend and I so appreciate all of the extra effort and care!
So before I get into the negative, I will share my positive opinion. I got the half-and-half sandwich so I can try the tuna and the chicken salad and I must admit, they were both phenomenal! And decent portions on each half of the sandwich. The coconut cake was amazing and also a good portion. The staff was very friendly and the set up was cute. Now for the negative…… prices are high. But unfortunately that just goes with the world we live in today. I would’ve liked my side to be a bigger portion but the fact that the pasta salad was pretty gross. I guess it worked out. This is just my opinion because things like pasta salad, potato salad, and coleslaw are always made differently and it just depends on your taste. I wasn’t thrilled at paying $3.50 for an iced tea but it is free refills so I got my moneys worth. The place was pretty busy and there was indoor and outdoor seating. Nice place for lunch.
