Came for the happy hour, super intimate cute space — bar order only which I like.
Amazing Mediterranean Saled and oysters and strong drink.
Went for the Oysters, they were not bad but I was expecting better. Had the Atlantic Salmon and the Seafood Pasta which were both amazing. Highly recommended.
Decent oysters, expensive drinks, terrible service
Stopped in for the happy hour oyster special: $1.50 each. The atmosphere is pretty neat. The service was not on par with the prices... An unsweetened iced tea was $6.00 and no one even offered me a refill. Draft beers run $10, with Stella Artois bottles on special for $5 during happy hour (4-6pm, I think). The biggest disappointment was the temperature of the oysters. For a place called "The Oyster Bar" and a giant sign on the side of the building touting oysters, you'd think their oyster game would be strong. Nope! The two things I dread when ordering raw oysters... Smells and warm oysters. A warm oyster really makes you wonder why they are warm... Do they understand how seriously ill you can get if oysters are mishandled? Anytime I get warm oysters, I lose confidence in the restaurant. Check out the Roxy Hotel/Cinema for the atmosphere, but head somewhere else for oysters.
Worse place . Don’t recommend!
Got the $130 Roxy Plateau that's suppose to come with 24 oysters, 8 shrimps, 8 clams, ceviche, mussels, and lobster. What we got was 22 oysters, 0 shrimps, 8 clams, way OVERCOOKED ceviche (the waiter was even confused whether that dish was ceviche or our 8 shrimps!), half empty shell mussels, and overcooked lobster. If you order this platter definitely check to see what you got because a lot was clearly missing. They did give us the missing items but there was lots of confusion in the process. Quality in food wasn't there at all. The 1 star is for the great live music.
