Best Mexican restaurant in Tucson!! Don’t waste your time going to el charro cafe or Guadalajara.. this place takes the cake on delicious food! 1000% must and you have to hug the lovely owner when you leave. She’s a Saint.

In my opinion this is the best Mexican restaurant in Tucson. The owner is an absolute sweetheart, the food is incredible, and the experience is always worth every penny and more.

It had been a while since I was last here, but the food is always memorable. This isn't Sonoran style Mexican food but it does span a wider variety of flavors from Mexico. I often order the chef's plate, which is three items selected by the chef. This allows me to try things I might not order as a single dish. Today there was a pork , beef, sweet potato and a wonderful squash soup. Everything was fresh and high quality ingredients. The plates are beautiful and the service makes you feel like home. There's a good reason why this place gets high reviews.

Really great experience. Came here on a recommendation from a local and did not regret it. The service was the best part, but the food was also amazing. Best horchata I've had. Also lots of vegetarian offerings.

Eh it's ok. The food was bland and expensive. $51 for 2 lunch plates and 1 horchata (also watery and bland). I got the "surprise me" combination plate, so I got to try a few things from the menu. Salsa tasted like tomato sauce, and the guac was watery and flavorless. BUT, the soup of the day that I had on a Friday afternoon was pretty good. The restaurant was clean and decorations were great. The service was 10/10. Just wish the food matched the service. At least my money is going towards a local business (woman owned too!). Maybe I went on a bad day. This place must have great reviews for a reason, so just go give it a try if you have the time and money. Edit: Marcela, yes we did eat everything on the plate. We come from a background where no food goes to waste. Ni la tortilla. Especially if I'm paying money for it. We didn't let anyone know because it's just our personal opinion and these are my thoughts on the food I was served. Don't like complaining at restaurants and shouldn't have to. Thank you for the response! Just proves my point that the customer service is great and it shows you care about your restaurant.
