So, it has taken me an entire week to post this review as I am still quite shocked about my experience. My partner and I arrived on 1/30/24 sometime in the 2 o'clock hour. There were maybe 5 tables with folks. No one greeted us, we had to ask if we should just sit anywhere....we sat outside facing the lake. No other patrons were anywhere close to us. We sat for some time conversing and no server appeared so my partner went to the bar window and asked for menus. Great. We were looking at the selections when an employee appeared at our table. Expecting a server but no, it was a female who identified herself as management. She proceeded to inform us that we would not be served and had to leave. Why, you ask? Well I guess she had been spying on our table from the camera (she said she had it on camera so I can only assume) and observed us make a "menacing gesture". Yep. True story. She said she could not have her people treated that way. Mind you there was No Employee anywhere near us. I am a Jersey Girl and I gesture All. The. Time. I promise if there was a gesture made it had nothing to do with The Lake House and was really none of their business. It was at my personal space and table. If I was going to gesture to anyone employed there they would have known it, deserved it and I would have promptly left on my own. I feel I showed great restraint in Not Gesturing to the female employee who treated us so poorly. She deserved it. Yuk. So we went to another place, were greated and served promptly, had an excellent meal and tipped well....but that is another review.
After taking an Eco Tour, visited the town center at Babcock Ranch and had lunch at the Lakehouse. The view of the lake is very nice and the outdoor seating was comfortable. The food is good and there are plenty of choices on the menu including several vegetarian dishes. Pleasant atmosphere to relax and enjoy the meal. The wait staff was attentive. Well worth a visit if you are near Babcock Ranch.
Stopped in for a few drinks, the service was fast and efficient. Views of the lake from the patio were nice.
Love the food and the service is great. It’s so nice and cozy sitting outside by the water.
This place has great views of the lake and Founders Square. Staff is always friendly and food has always been great.
If you enjoy undercooked rice and watered down wine, this place is for you. Service was ok at best. We ordered the Ahi Tuna tower, and the rice was either very old or very undercooked. The wine tasted like they put a bunch of ice in it to make it cold or either added water to make it look like they were giving you more. In the end, we had to go inside and track down our waiter for the ticket. In his defense, he did look like he might have been new. My conclusion if you want to pay way too much for a very average meal with a below average service, give them a try.
