The Hangout Restaurant & Beach Bar

Lived in Huntington Beach for decades.. but never ate here. Although a lot of my friends have. I kept seeing it on my way to a job and said oh hell I'll pop in here. I really like the atmosphere I like how it's set up their pictures of their food are really good the presentation is excellent but the food just isn't all that good it's mediocre. But.. don't get me wrong the food is not bad. At all. Might be even a little pricey but I would recommend this overall I definitely definitely would! Compared to a lot of other places. Plus they have a huge full bar with draft beers looks really cool.. and I guess if you're in your end if you know the people that work there you'll be cackling and laughing hard across the entire place while other people are just trying to eat and get the normal business day-to-day service from their waitresses.

Good food and drinks

Always good service. And good food. Like the prime rib on Friday nights

The fries and turkey burger tasted like the oil used to cook both. The texture of the fries was good, but it tasted like used oil. The service was excellent.

I went in on a Friday night to try the prime rib I saw advertised on Facebook. The picture looked amazing. Because I was getting off work late and I called to ask if they thought there would still be prime rib available. They couldn't guarantee there would be which was fine. When I got there I should have known when I asked if there was any available when I got there and they said they had two more pieces left that I should have made a different selection for dinner. The two pieces my friend and I got were over cooked(for our taste) and had absolutely NO FLAVOR OR SEASONING. I was grateful there was salt and pepper on my table because my food desperately needed it. Now I understand I shouldn't expect too much with it being so late. I'm going to give this establishment another try before rushing to the decision of not returning

Ordered 2 Fish and chips dinners to go. One meal had so many bones in the filets that my 92 year old mother in law couldn’t eat anymore of it. She found 6 good size bones. The other order, one Filet was quite large but only had fish in one half of it. Bit of an unpleasant experience. Glad I only paid half price for each order because it wouldn’t have been worth $20.00 a piece. I usually love the fish and chips but this was awful. Not sure I’m eating there again.

Food and drinks are good. Staff at the bar is not friendly at all. Everything we asked seem to make our bartender upset. She rolled her eyes when I asked for water..
