The Golden door used to be my favorite place to go for the Afterparty. Over the past few months, it has gone downhill my opinion. They used to have a fire pit outside for people to socialize around, but staff has stopped lighting that fire. (Even in 40 degree weather). They used to be porta potties outside for everyone who did not wanna wait in the line for the inside restroom, and they were gone last time I went. In this time they have made it less appealing for non-members to go. They have gotten taken away access to the cool restroom with a couch in the bathtub. The magic of the establishment has been lost to security who ask for bribes and less people coming as well. With all of this It is hard to justify the $20 entry. I wish this place had not taken a turn for the worst. When I first discovered this place it would have gotten 5 stars.
Such an interesting concept and very diverse. There’s a place for everybody here. That is what really stood out to me. The people are so friendly. It’s so nice to see an “Old Nashville” concept where people know each other and look out for each other, but done in a new and totally relevant way. Very impressed.
If you wanna pay 20 dollars to not be able to buy booze and be asked if you're a VIP every 20 minutes, this spot is for you
Best after hours spot in Nashville and the management rock!
