Student cafe with snacks and problematic parking. I stop by here every month or so. I'd probably be here more often if there were parking available. This is a bustling little coffee shop with a pretty big dining area inside and a covered patio by the train tracks. For a student coffee shop, the coffee is decent and there's a lot of choice on snacks. There are also some small plates and sandwiches. I drink straight espresso, and it's good here with a nice crema. I stop by here because they have rice krispie bars that are not as sweet as the Starbucks version. They often have a few other gluten free treats. They even have a gluten free muffin and coconut macaroons. If you are an Emory student, this is more organic and charming than the Starbucks on the edge of campus. If you are not a student, it is very hard to find parking here and unless, like me, this happens to be on your path, this is not worth going out of your way. Dietary restrictions: Come by for the rice crispy treat which is less sweet than at Starbucks. The also have a gluten free muffin, coconut macaroons and a few other treats. Parking: Almost always full.
I’ve been an Emory employee for awhile and when I’m on campus, I sometimes stop by. I like their unique coffee specials (like cardamom or lavender). It’s on par to Starbucks pricing, but good option if you’re already on campus. They have several food options from sandwiches to salads. Breakfast and lunch options. Aldo have a variety of sweet treats. They seem To do pretty good business as it’s often bustling any time I pop by. The employees have always been very friendly. The vibe is nice! Dietary restrictions: They do have some vegan and gluten free labeled items Parking: No parking for this location. It’s on the Emory campus. So the assumption is you already have parking
Mediocre overpriced food. Ok staff, not the worst not the best. Everything about this place is mid
Is it a requirement for the Kaldis employees to be absolutely miserable? I am an Emory grad student and come here frequently to work- I have never had a cashier be pleasant with me. I asked the employee today how she was and she looked at me and said good. She said nothing else-- didn't even ask if she could help me. I love the atmosphere of the shop or else I wouldn't be back.
Horrible experience and will NEVER be coming back. First of all, there wasn’t even a barista behind the counter when I arrived. I paid for a chocolate chai with a shot of espresso, and was handed a GREEN SMOOTHIE. When I tried to tell them that it was the wrong order, they were rude and told me that I just had to “deal with it”. Get it together. No longer promoting this awful place to anyone.
Quaint Cafe with excellent roasted coffee on the Emory campus. There is visitor parking adjacent to the Cafe. Enjoyed a cookie that tasted home baked. We appreciated the fact that it was open late. Many students had come to study.
