The Capital Grille

Took my daughter there for her bday. She picked it so we got dressed up and went. The wait staff was phenomenal! Very attentive and patient. A+ in the category. Drinks A+ as well. Food not too good. The steak was cooked to perfection but lacked taste. The Lobster mac&cheese was very watery and lacked flavor. It only had 2 pieces of Lobster in it. The food gets a very low C. Maybe even a D. I would go back only for the drinks though.

Another restaurant I visit every time I come to Indy. Great steaks and cocktails and the service is amazing.

Giving 5 stars because Rob the server was great. My old fashioned was delicious. Now the bad, my filet mignon medium was tougher than Chuck Norris and was like trying to chew on a boot, very disappointing, my au gratin Potatoes were so salty in pretty sure that my blood pressure spiked to dangerous levels, kidding but seriously, extremely salty Potatoes, not remotely close to the 200+ I spent on a very sub par dinner. Never again will go to another capital grill anywhere, Rob is the sole reason you get 5 stars

I ate at several steak houses this past week while at a print conference here in town and I choose this place as the one that I will rave about! The atmosphere is very deluxe feeling and the people were so very nice and accommodating but the food was spectacular and so much better than the other place which will go remain unnamed. The house made lobster bisque was literally the best I have ever had with plentiful chunks of lobster in a very richly made creamy and flavourful base. The oysters were as fresh as they come with fresh ground horse radish. When I could not decide between the tenderloin and lobster and the double cut lamb chops, I asked our waiter Carter (who by the way was fantastic and I would highly recommend that you ask for him) which of the two dishes I would be the most sad that I missed, he recommended immediately without hesitation the lamb chops. And I’m here to tell you what, they were spectacular! I had mine cooked to order at medium and they were perfect and delicious. I finished my meal off with the coconut cream pie which was truly out of this world excellent! We pretty much rolled out of there in the most delightful food coma I’ve ever been in! Thank you Carter and the Capital Grille for a most wonderful and memorable meal!

Probably best steak house in the downtown

Capital Grille is one of my fav restaurants across the country. This location is no exception. The crab cakes are always excellent. And my go to cocktail stoli doli is always amazing. Most of my family had a steak of some sort and everyone was pleased. The service here is always top notch. This is a great date spot but also family friendly if you want to treat your kids and they appreciate non kids menu dining.

Amazing food and service

My husband and I came to Indy for a night away and to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We order the crab cake appetizer and a cup of the lobster bisque. Those were both Fantastic. I ordered the sliced filet with mushrooms, and my husband got the Kona crusted bone on dry aged NY Strip. We got three sides because we wanted to try a little bit of everything. We got the Brussel sprouts, augratin potatoes and the lobster mac n cheese. The food was absolutely FANTASTIC! We like to dine at nice restaurants and this was hands down THE BEST WE HAVE HAD!! Thank you to the chef and kitchen staff for doing an amazing job. The service and staff were all very sweet and attentive, but our waiter Monty was hands down the greatest! We asked him for food recommendations and he gave us his honest opinion and we listened and order the things he suggested and it was literally fantastic. He was very attentive, very knowledgeable and just did an absolute fantastic job. Thank you Monty for being amazing and doing such a great job.
