More rare bottles than you can shake a stick at, and the best service you could ask for from knowledgeable staff with a passion for the magic spirit. Go to this quiet cornerstone of the mezcal world for the arroqueno. Stay for the fondue.
Rented the private room for my birthday and had the best time! Staff was incredible- very friendly and helpful and attentive. The room was really nice and great ambiance. And the food and drink were top notch. I would highly recommend this for a private event! Very fairly priced too :)
Some friends and I did a mezcal tour in Puebla, Mexico. The theme of the tour is that the artisanal / small batch nature of mezcal makes it almost impossible to commercialize and export to the US - the mezcal you buy in the store is not “authentic mezcal”. My response was - “we’ll damn, that mezcal bar in my neighborhood in NYC must be a shame”. The tour guide said “you mean The Cabinet? No they’re legit”… enough said
Came at opening time to check out the Xmas vibe to see if I wanted to book a reservation for a group of friends - but even though the place was dead empty the host wouldn’t even let us in just to peek without a reservation. Did I say it was dead empty and when you looked on Resy every single reservation time was available? Yeah no thanks. I don’t do gate-keeping attitude from a kid in a cheap Santa suit at empty, cheap looking bars in the middle of the day.
Lovely place with good with good service. The mezcal flight is a must try
Extremely mediocre margarita. Alright Paloma. All for a pretty pricey point. Servers were friendly
