Bar is fine. Good if you are a UR employee looking for convenience. Don't go out of your way to come to Beergead over other places.
I went to just chill. The vibe was good, but the bartender wanted to put egg white in my Amaretto Sour... Absolutely not gonna happen! Other than that it was great!
Service was incredibly slow and the protein scrambler was cold and bland. But the beer choice is always great.
Excellent spot in college town for a bite to eat or to meet friends. Little stage for performers. Helpful staff.
Was super busy super noisy and very congested place. We were looking for a good Friday evening but ended up having severe headache. Probably beer garden was a bad choice for that day.
Work happy hours used to come here all the time. First time back under new management and it will be the last. The service was unacceptable. If you were at a table and tried to order a drink at the bar you were denied and told to go back and wait for your waitress. Well, the waitress was the bartender, so she never did come back to the table. It was near impossible to get drinks. The waitstaff seemed to have no idea what they were doing or just didn't care. Noise level was high enough so that you had to yell so the person next to you could hear. Then they had a band come on...
Come for the beer, not for the food. Have been a regular here for years but under new ownership the menu is just not good and I cant recommend coming here with friends anymore. Also since the new ownership staff turnover is at an all time high. Presumably because they have about 4 employees outside of the kitchen for an entire restaurant on a Friday night. I suspect the employees are burnt out. The service has also gone downhill. I gave this place one last try and with less than 10 people in the place it took me 15+ mins to get a second beer while at the bar. I've tried all the entrees but the only food I can recommend here is the pizza. Everything else is bland, uninspired and tries to use pizza toppings as main ingredients to save money. Really wish they would change their menu so I can come here again. The menu used to be modern (good for college town), and now it feels like hospital food. You're doing something wrong when even your regulars are leaving. Edit: You'll notice that the owner won't address any of the things I've just mentioned and that's because they are a coward and because there is truth in what I'm saying. Since I know you'll read this, I'll just reply here. Just fix your menu. Have you eaten your own menu? Have you tried the menu when you got here? You either have poor taste or just don't care about delivering a decent entree item. Consumers are tired of paying $15+ for an entree that's on par or worse than I can make at home.
Stopped by today with a friend. Our sandwiches were delicious. The service was great. Highly recommend. Parking: Located behind the building. Easy to get to. plenty of space.
i used to come here when i first moved to the area and usually had a good time. first time back in over a year and its awful. the pizza has the sweetest sauce i’ve ever come across which was incredibly off putting, i literally couldn’t taste anything else and i even asked for light sauce. the menu itself is smaller and less attractive. the server essentially ignored me even tho there were maybe 10 people total in the whole place. she brought me my drink in the crook of her arm which i also found to be off putting. she wasn’t pleasant overall and spent more time behind the bar chatting w the bartender than anything else. i don’t know her name. she’s got dark hair and glasses and is on the shorter side. everything was incredibly disappointing and after one slice i realized i couldn’t stomach how sweet the pizza was. i looked for something else on the menu but nothing was really catching my eye. the new owners haven’t done a good job here.
