Food and service always excellent

I was kind of disappointed in this place. At the price point, I would expect better service. We had a table for six at 8pm on a Saturday and it took us about 45 minutes before we finally were able to order. Several times we had to ask each other if we'd seen a server. The food was okay around the table. The guys who got steaks were underwhelmed for the price. I had a burger and it was excellent. The sides were really solid. The drinks were stiff and tasty. We all left saying, "eh, probably wouldn't go back. Would rather go to EJ's Place instead." Overall, good but not great for the elevated price point.

Easily one of the best steakhouses in the area, we drive into Evanston from Chicago for their food and cozy atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Had a great dinner at the Barn . The service was also excellent. Had the bone in ribeye which was very good.

It's loud, I believe over priced

Was forced to enter 1 star in order to post this review… Terrible experience during the last night with our daughter before she returned to college. Have traveled and dined worldwide and have never been treated as poorly and a hostile as we were by the manager of The Barn. We went to Campagnola and had a wonderful dinner with our family and tried to erase the snub received at The Barn. No Michelin star coming their way ever. You never know who you are insulting or their networks…
