Normally I really enjoy this place. For the last hour however I have been here the bartender has talked to me a total of one time to take my order. I have not been able to place a food order, she’s too busy on her phone helping who ever just walks up to the bar or sitting around on her phone. EDIT: I would love to have been able to give more than 1 star, and I completely understand mistakes happening. However it’s hard to justify more than one star when I want for dinner and some drinks and only got a drink, and then completely ignored for the next hour as the bartender sat on their phone, or helped everyone around me, even going so far as to clearing my empty glass without asking me if I wanted anything else. That isn’t a mistake or an accident it’s just simply poor service. While I think the atmosphere and theme of the restaurant are perfect, it’s not why I went.

Such a fun place. Books. Games. Fun to just look at the beautiful (nerdy) decor. Staff is so friendly. We came here with our two under tens and everyone was welcoming and kind to them. I was really surprised by the quality of the food. This was not microwaved bar food. Everything was obviously made fresh and with great care. The menu was simple, but hearty and well made. Very much added to the medieval tavern atmosphere. I'd come here to sit and read on the comfy couch. I'd come here to drink and play ttrpg with friends. I'd come here (again) with my family. My 9 year old had already decided she wants to have her birthday party here with her d&d group. Just a note, our per person price was high because this was an anniversary dinner. You could easily come here for $15/person and have an amazing time. Kid-friendliness: Very welcoming to our seven and nine year old.

Cool place to go and play games. Food and drinks were good. Service was great until we got our food. Then it seemed like we were forgotten about and the server didn't come back to see if we needed any more drinks or anything after that. Edit: New servers there were very attentive. Much better experience this time around.

Edit- this place was a victim of a hostile takeover as a result of a partnership gone bad and the new owner is horrid. Treats his staff like trash, is rude to customers and I won't go back. 0 stars. Super unfortunate. Amazing decor, staff is really friendly and fun, game tables are awesome, cocktails were super good and imaginative, and food was tasty. Great place to hang out and play games

We had a great group for gaming and were all really excited to see this cafe in person. Very fun atmosphere and place to have a gaming session. The drinks and food were tasty. I had the Belmont Jewel and pizzas. Our only issue came up at the end, when we each went to pay our tabs. There was no itemized receipt offered, and I had to ask. My math wasn't mathing, and I got confused. It turns out an 18% gratuity is added to each of the bills. I did not see that posted or announced, so apologies if our group missed this. The receipt I was given only had a total, with a line for added tips, then a line gor new total. The bottom had tip suggestions, 15%, 20% and 25%. It was good service, but I was not looking at tipping 38% - the added 18% plus 20% I added, so I modified my receipt to lower the tip amount. I appreciate transparency in addition to good service.

This place is amazing! Perfect spot for a game night, a DND campaign, or a cozy reading day. The food is delicious, the staff is welcoming, and it feels like a fantasy tavern come to life. Whether you like fantasy or sci-fi, or just want a warm homey experience, this is the place
