Texas Roadhouse

We went on a busy Friday night. However, we didn't have to wait too long for a table. Once seated, the service was excellent. I was thinking that it wouldn't be because of how busy the place was. But it was great. The food was delicious. My wife said her steak was cooked perfectly. My ribs were fall off the bone. I look forward to going back.

The thing I like about Texas Roadhouse is that their food is consistently good. The thing I wasn't happy with, is their prices almost doubled since I was there last. The cheapest steak you can get is now 16.99, and a few years ago, it was 8.99. I do realize their prizes for products have also gone up, so I am not holding Texas Roadhouse totally responsible for this. It is just sad that we can't go out to dinner very often anymore because we just can't afford it.

Texas Roadhouse is one of our favorite places go out to eat. We usually go to the one on Malabar but we recently moved to Melbourne and heard about the family style meals. So on Monday after a long hard day that still wasn't over yet, we went to Texas Roadhouse and I made my order in person and just waited for the food to be ready. First impression the portion sizes were quite disappointing. Luckily our children are very young and we were each able to survive on one scoop of our sides each. The salad was a decent size and pretty good, and of course there was plenty of bread and butter. My main complaint was the steaks. Usually our children can split a 6oz but these were so small and hard. The second I cut open one it was blatantly obvious what the issue was. There were way overcooked. I did notice on the menu that it specified the steaks would all be cooked medium, which is why I made my order in person and asked that they were cooked medium rare. . I was told that would be no issue , otherwise I would have chosen a different protein and spent a lot less money. But they weren't even cooked medium, they were beyond well done. After over $60 having to fill up on salad and bread was a major letdown. My husband can't eat steak that isn't tender, which is why we choose Texas Roadhouse so often, because he has veneers. I felt like we got way smaller portions and sacrificed quality to take our food to go because I still had a ton of work I had to do that evening and hoped for an easy dinner. The girl who took our order was lovely and very helpful, as it was our first time ordering the family style meal. I don't know what the heck happened.
