Had a wonderful lunch in the fall. It was a nice way to slow down and recharge energy to continue with the museum visit. Ordered a salad, wine and a dessert. Good food and good service. The staff was not intrusive but was attentive.
We decided to visit Terrace cafe during our visit at MoMA. Terrace cafe was lovely and had helpful staff. I had beef burger and Mac and cheese. Both were OK, but I think it is a bit overpriced, even considering its location.
Uma experiência muito positiva depois da ótima visita ao MoMA. Muito além de um café, lá é possível almoçar e jantar. O atendimento é ótimo e as comidas estavam muito saborosas. Pedi para alterar um item do menu e prontamente fui atendido.
excellent attention to detail
Great food, drinks and service. I especially enjoyed the cheese plate, chips with onion dip and my favorite, Stucco marmo. The price is reasonable given the excellent taste and presentation of their food and drinks. And all the servers were nice and courteous. Will definitely be going back!
What a surprise! I've eaten at the other MoMA restaurant, 100 years ago. But, not at this one. We stumbled in before we made our way through the museum. The key to the Terrace Cafe is this: Exquisite food and atmosphere, top-notch service--almost white glove without the gloves--but NO pretense. Luxury, yes. Professionalism, for sure. But the staff is friendly and welcoming and definitely NOT up themselves. This is my jam. I do not need artifice or gilding. I need people who take their work seriously, but not themselves. I was so pleased, I waited around--at the request of the hosts--to tell the manager! Vegetarian options: Salad, soup, humus, bread... Dietary restrictions: I can't eat cow dairy but I can sometimes sneak in a bit of chèvre. I eat a lot of fish but nothing fried. There were several options available, I just happened to choose a delicious salad with chèvre, walnuts, delicate squash and baby spinach. I added some perfect smoked trout and it has inspired me to make it myself.
My favorite place for lunch! The food is incredible. The service is world-class. The view is divine. It is run like a Swiss watch. Our waiter, Kawser, provided the most exceptional service one could imagine. The manager, Peter, was also extremely gracious and kind, making me and my guests feel "right at home". I HIGHLY recommend this place! NOTE: Please realize this is NOT a cafeteria, as some reviewers seemed to expect. This is a world-class café in midtown Manhattan with EXTREMELY fair prices.
OMG. The carrots cake was so tasty. The passion fruit sauce was fresh and yum.
