As soon as you walk into this place, you feel like you’ve been transported to a super-authentic Japanese dinner experience, fit with nice decorations and a cozy, intimate atmosphere. They have a daily special menu which changes everyday, as well as a separate menu which doesn’t change. We ordered the omakase ($140 pp), which turned out to be such an amazing experience. The courses range from sashimi platters, to fried oysters, scallops, and my favorite items I tried: the A5 Japanese Wagyu beef, Duck Soba, and Soba Buckwheat ice cream. The beef quality and texture was very high, and practically melts in your mouth. The soba was very flavorful and the buckwheat ice cream was surprisingly one of my favorite ice cream flavors I’ve ever tried, it reminded me a bit of tiramisu. The service here was also great, they constantly refilled our drinks, and gave us new sets of plates and utensils for each course of the omakase. This place is definitely on the pricier end, but IMO worth if you want to treat yourself or for a special occasion! 10/10 amazing dinner experience. Parking: free parking with restaurant validation
I went there on my anniversary and it was a quiet restaurant with good service and atmosphere. The Japanese chawanmushi, which I have loved since I was a child, was also delicious. However, the chocolate cake my husband ate seemed too sweet.
Always a fantastic sushi experience. Their uni it's outstanding, and their white seaweed salad it's delicious. They have a really good tea and an amazing Whiskey selection. They get fresh fish flew in so the quality and texture it's perfect
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great restroom. Close to the opera house and symphony.
Great authentic Japanese food in Dallas. Nice and quiet neighborhood in art district and rooftop area for warm summer night drinks.
This is the best upscale Japanese restaurant in Dallas! They're classy without being pretentious. The authentic dishes are both delicious and well presented. The restaurant gets fully packed, especially on weekends, but it never gets too noisy. I recommend their sashimi, shrimp tempura and soba. The prices are a bit high, but in line with other high-end restaurants. It's a great destination for both a quiet, romantic dinner and social groups.
I had a terrific experience at Tei An, all the staff were extremely friendly and the food was exceptional. The quiche and tuna tartare are a must try!
This is hands down the best restaurant in DFW. We’ve been loyal fans since 2019, and always do the omikaze.
One of the coolest omakase experiences here yet. I treated my boyfriend for his birthday and the atmosphere was romantic, low-lit, and the servers and hosts were just great. It did get a bit busier as the night went on, but the entire reservation process was easy, service was top of the line, and is a must in Dallas to check out.
I do NOT recommend this restaurant I made a reservation and when arrived at the restaurant early to my reservation I was told I didn’t have a reservation even though I showed proof of a reservation. I believe this restaurant is discriminatory avoid at all cost.
