Tarka has always hit the mark! Kabob salad is plentyful, healthy, flavorful, and consistent. The Tikka masala is very good! We usually get extra chicken in it and make two meals of the dish. It's always clean, the staff has always been super helpful. It's our go to when we don't want to cook. Parking: It is in a shopping center.

After 3 visits to this location I rate them 5 stars. Each visit I received warm hospitable service from the entire team. The manager made a pleasant table visit to ensure we were enjoying everything. And our food was delicious. We will be back.

As another reviewer shared, this location (sunset valley) is horribly inefficient at prioritizing dine-in orders. We arrived and ordered quickly with no line and did not receive our food until nearly 30 minutes later. (27 minutes since I started counting, so it could have been more, idk). Having been to other Tarka locations in Austin and Houston, I was excited to try it again after a few years without one in my city. For the amount of time it took for the kitchen to bring our food we could have ordered at a premium Indian restaurant and gotten our food delivered, or we could have simply driven to another Tarka location and been served probably. There were only about 10-12 dine-in parties (mostly 2-3 people) however there were DOZENS of to-go and delivery orders that folks were waiting on and that we saw going out the door constantly. Dine-in should be prioritized otherwise why ask us if we were dining in or taking out when we ordered...? We unfortunately won't be back to this location, ever. tl;dr Pros: the food IS tasty, expected spice level and it comes out *piping hot* Cons: wait time is atrocious.

Reliable quality, great portion size. Service velocity has changed a bit for worse. If u don't see your order after 10 mins, better reach out to the counter. Lots of togo pickups lined up, and delivery orders can be a priority compared to eat-ins.

The food is very reasonably price. Went there to try some snacks and was pleasantly surprised at how good they were! I liked the chicken pakoras the best. Our order got mixed up and we had to wait longer than I would have preferred.
