I was actually walking to Sweet Green when I glimpsed it. It’s new…. I love the ambiance; that’s what’s attracted me first. There’s nothing like it in the neighborhood & I think they will do very well. I tried the marinated pork, it’s really good. I didn’t try any drinks, I had work and was already a bit lit prior. I will definitely be back when I have more time, even with some friends to really get down. I definitely recommend!
Food is absolutely delicious. Great end to a night out! Got the pork burrito. Consistency of chips is phenomenal and the salt is perfectly dispersed. All of my friends enjoyed their meals too. Not that many non-meat options though
Of the best Mexican food I’ve had in NYC in almost 20 years and over 50 establishments.
Consistently delicious tacos!! The al pastor tacos are amazing. You can't order wrong here
I’ve lost count of the # of nopales burritos I’ve consumed at this point. So good each and every time. And so spicy too so be warned. Vegetarian options: Nopal option instead of meat so with this option you can order any entree on the menu
Greasy, overpriced, barely any meat, not good. Much better places in the area.
Not sure why this place gets so much love from people, but I would strongly recommend that you go elsewhere for al pastor. The trucks on Gates/Wyckoff and Myrtle/Knickerbocker are a much better value and are guaranteed to satisfy you, unlike this place, which is a ripoff for partying people that has generally disappointed non-partying me. $18+ ($5.75/taco) for three tiny al pastor tacos ''with everything" is highway robbery, even if the place makes its own tortillas. But the price becomes an actual insult when the tacos come with nothing except slivers of meat, onion and cilantro (no pineapple or radish, and insufficient lime for three tacos), contrary to your order. These are already the smallest al pastor tacos you'll ever see in your life. And the flavor was bland, as there were no condiments/toppings. The al pastor burrito is also insultingly small for the price, filled with rice and hardly any discernible meat. Easily the most disappointing burrito I've had in NYC, and one of the more expensive ones. That this place has so many glowing reviews boggles my mind.
Very good! Quick bite. Love that they give guac on the burritos.
