My wife is Taiwanese and this is THE place for authentic Taiwanese food regardless of price point. We live in NYC and we can’t find a place as good as Formosan Garden.

非常棒的台菜餐廳，服務親切而且食物很道地，推薦鹽酥雞跟白斬雞。一定要點飲料，不貴但勝過很多外面的飲料店，伯爵奶茶茶味很明顯，跟老闆娘講還可以幫你客製，吃得很愉快。 Given that I am a real Taiwanese from Taiwan, I am pretty sure that the food here is wonderful. They authentically express the taste of Taiwanese food. Please don’t take this the wrong way, but I know some Americans do not like the food here just because they think Chinese food should be like Panda Express. By the way, I really recommend their boba tea, they are so confident about their beverage and they gave me a try. The smell of tea is very strong, and it illustrates a perfect balance of milk and tea,. They deserve to be proud of it.
