Slow service for drinks and food but after all was good

Just ordered a togo order and they completely messed it up. Not to mention when they were taking the order they said it comes with this and that but never received any of it. We called and asked to speak to a manager and someone named Ava got on the line and was completely rude and of no help at all. I have been going to Takeyas for 10+ years and even celebrating birthdays here and this one experience has completely changed my mind about the place and quality. A togo order should be treated just like a dine in with service and quality as I am still paying same price. I will be taking my business to Wild Ginger where the service and food are both on point.

I have always enjoyed Takeya Japanese steakhouse yet this experience stood out far more so than any other visit. The sushi was remarkable and the perfectly made drinks effectively put the icing on the cake. Next time we shall be trying the hibachi side of the restaurant. Always a fantastic experience when we are here.

Clean place and delicious food

Main issue was the cleanliness. My sitting area had dried food stuck to the table that I had to use another towel to wipe down. Then we observed how they cleaned the tables when another party left the adjoining spot, and was grossed out. Guy used the napkins the guests used to wipe the table, and a filthy wet towel after. You could see the crap still on the table and new plates were then set out. I brought it to the staffs attention and nothing was done as a new set of patrons sat down to eat. Disappointing because the experience wasn’t that bad.

Best place to eat hibachi food great employees, great chefs, amazing food and Chris the owner is an amazing guy to talk to. The manager dom is a really great business man and manages the place excellent!

Service was ok took 30 min just to get servers attention so my large part could order liquor drinks. Then 1hr food wait because out ticket got lost as they say. The price has gone up but the portion size has gone way down. No even much left over in my Togo box and my kids meal was so small he finished everything and asked for some of mine. 22$ for a kids meal and yet it wasn’t big enough for a 9 year old wow…. This is why I eat in Palm coast port orange or St Augustine… because her since you moved in to that building you have dropped the ball. He’ll look at you waiting room seat. Duc tape really.
