This place gave me food poisoning on 01/24/24. I ate there with my husband and kept having to use the bathroom shortly after leaving all throughout the night. I think it was maybe the beef taco. That's the only thing I had that my husband didnt. This morning, I vomited. I'm back to feeling 100%. Only getting food poisoning once on my honeymoon trip is OK I guess. It's fine. The staff was really nice. I just wouldn't eat here again because I don't want to get food poisoning twice.
We really like this place. Brunch and entrees are decent, but we go when in the queso and salsa mood. Three different types of salsa! Or very large, tasty margaritas if you want to ruin your Saturday or Sunday. I always get the Mexican Omelette/Scramble or the Huevos a la Mexicana and both are solid. Rufina was our server and she is always so friendly. Be patient with staff as they seem to all wear many hats, but the experience always leaves a smile on our face. MY MOST RECENT VISIT: We are down the street, and always make time for this place when we need some really, really good queso. That might be breakfast or lunch. Great sized portion, fantastic taste, and get some of the house salsa with it. You will be led to one side or the other, and they are fully divided. Alan was our server last time, and he did a great job at handling not only tables but to go orders coming through the door. The margaritas are monstrous and potent, but be aware they are $16. They have a decent selection of popular beers, and even sometimes carry an IPA. Both breakfast and lunch are solid, and I got the breakfast burrito last time, smothered with bacon (deluxe version per the menu). I wish they had a big bar area, but we always enjoy our experience regardless. The rest of the menu is all good, but the queso is off the hook. I give it a 4 because of very little things and how the things I have tried on the rest of the menu weren't mind-blowing for me, but it is a strong 4. Definitely recommend and see you there.
Tell me why a “House” margarita costs $17.00… Please, make it make sense. Food was ok. Not worth the 1 mile drive to come back. But even if the food was stellar, I’d find another location after realizing that we were charged $17 for a house margarita. Plus, they charge for chips and salsa..? Unheard of. Yikes. First and last visit. Had better (and cheaper) at a taco joint in the middle of BF Kansas.
Food is not that good. Beans were bland, ground beef had no seasoning, taco shell was really hard, and green chili didn't have any flavor either. On top of it all they charge $5 for chips and salsa. Sad thing the salsa was probably the best food item I ate. You can pretty much go anywhere else and get better Mexican food.
This place is the best! I live in Aurora and travel about 20 minutes (passing plenty of other restaurants with similar menus) to get Tacos Jalisco. The service is always great, and the food + drinks are killer. Watch out for the house margarita... it's pretty doggone big :) My only critical feedback is that half of the space has a great vibe, and the other half is pretty quiet. There's definitely a fun section + a very quiet section. Still, this is my favorite TexMex joint in Denver. Kid-friendliness: We take our toddler and she loves it! The employees are always really sweet, and the space allows for high-chairs, boosters, etc.
Sadly, the chili relleno diesnt actually have a chili inside. Ive had thousands of chili rellenos in my life & never expected to just have a fried shell with no chili inside. Terrible. I called & their answer is: we only put chopped chilis in our chili relleno. The amount of “chopped chili pieces” amount to about a small sprinkling you’d do with your fingertips. Dont order the chili relleno. Extremely disappointed. Never again
