Welp, it was a good run. They had the best fast food crispy tacos in Austin. So long and thanks for all the queso.
The food was pretty good for the price. The chips and queso was my favorite. The service was alright. The cashier got the order right but was a little bit rude. I would go back
If you've ever been to PTerrys and wished they served tacos, well you're in luck! It tastes just as good as it sounds, fresh food, simple menu with great options. Friendly staff, clean dining room and restrooms. Quick service and good pricing. I like the choices on the soda machine too, Hawaiian punch, I haven't seen that in forever. The salsas are tasty, I really enjoyed the fire roasted one. The Mexitots with Queso are a great snack/side. Only one location of 290/71/Mopac. If you're coming up Mopac North it'll be on your right, it's actually easier to get to their parking by turning onto 290/71 first then coming in. Drive through options, inside dining and an outdoor patio. Definitely worth a try, hoping they put another location in Southeast Austin... Mckinney falls and William Cannon perhaps... Parking: This location seems to do a lot of drive through so plenty of parking is available. I seem to park right by the front door Everytime. Wheelchair accessibility: Handicapped parking is right across from the front door, easy. The only catch is the route to the drive through comes right through there so keep an eye out for other hungry customers.
It's 9:40 and they are closed
This location used to be congested with people however now I know why it is empty. First off, it is despicable that management doesn't fix the AC for the workers who are slaving inside this location. There are multiple fans in the kitchen area, which probably contributes to airborne illnesses. There's a temporary AC unit that is for the customers, however this franchise owner is cheap enough to not put a decent replacement size version. No wonder nobody eats inside as I intended to eat. I shouldn't have to pay restaurant prices of over $21 for an individual meal and have the food bagged up to go because the restaurant is a burning Inferno. Unfortunately I had to make my order to go. Food wise I'm very unsure why I paid extra for asada steak and received five to six cubes of meat for the up charge. You can see the photos I've added as proof of this disappointment. I had to remind the workers that I ordered a shake as they looked at me confused of why I wasn't leaving. The workers looked oblivious to customer service but how couldn't they when I didn't even want dine inside this uncomfortably hot building. And I guess homeless are welcome to self serve themselves at the soda station. I had one homeless guy park his bicycle on the outdoor patio and self- serve himself to the machine. If corporate is listening I've already sent you an email about my experience. I'm not interested in having a gift card to wash away this review. I'll go back to your building with a laser thermometer to document the heat inside this building and file a health and safety complaint with the state of Texas on the behalf of your employees. Get your business together. Update 08/30/2023: Taco Ranch has yet to fix the AC problems in the facility and failed to reach out to me about objective complaints regarding my visit. A formal complaint with the State of Texas has been filed on behalf of their employees suffering in a Non-AC building. This business makes me sick.
Great prices... excellent fast food... consistent service! I love this place! And it is healthier than the place that is always busy next door.
