I’ve gone to taboo for many years and I’m going to miss it. It’s very sad that it’s gone. It was a Palm Beach.
Ritzy place. There was 7 of us and the service was great! We shared nachos and crab cakes for appetizers. I had the sweet potato crusted Sole.....it was excellent. I also had an expresso martini! We shared 4 different deserts and all were fabulous!
Situated on the luxurious Worth Avenue, Ta-boo is a dark, lushly styled upscale restaurant. The service was great, and the menu had a lot of variety ranging from fish to pork to steaks. I ordered the Filet Mignon and though it was not the best I have had, it was decent. The meat was well cooked and served with tasty mashed potatoes and vegetables. Another dish that stood out was the Shrimp Scampi, which the flavor exploded in your mouth with the lemon and sautéed goodness. The food was very presentable and the ambiance of the restaurant was aesthetic. I give it a 4/5 stars because the food wasn’t fantastic, but it was decent enough for the prices. Overall, it was a good experience. Parking: Only on the side of the road of the restaurant.
The most over priced and horrible meal I’ve had. I should have ran when they served us bread so hard it could have knocked a squirrel out of a tree.
My mom had been many times to Ta-boo over the years, and took me as a treat when I came to visit and we went there for her 93rd birthday. The table wasnt wiped, the service was poor (for example, once the food was served we didnt see the waiter) and the food was barely edible (my mom’s ribs tasted like and had the consistency of leather). We were all very disappointed.
Place smells like a Hollister store from 2006. If you’re looking for amazing service while sitting next to some really snobby people, this is your spot. We stayed for a glass of wine and then left. With some different clientele this place would be great, but that’s to be expected in this area. Going to try it out again for a nice meal next time we’re back!
