The food is not bad albeit overpriced for practically a salad and added protein. The bad review is mostly regarding service and atmosphere. It was my first time in so I had no idea where to pick up take out. Not only did not one staff member help or greet me when I told them my name but everyone in there looked so bothered the atmosphere was uncomfortable and unfriendly, and there was basically no one in the store. Will not be returning, even for takeout or pickup. If that is as bad enough why would I come in to ever dine or recommend? Y’all need soft skills training and basic customer service.

Today I had the miso salmon, customizing it a bit. It was very tasty. It is a bit on the pricier side for what you get, so I wouldn’t come here regularly. This bowl today was $20. It does have healthier options so that’s nice. We ordered ahead online which is pretty simple. The $2.95 rice krispy treat was tasty, and seemed like a healthier version of the classic sweet treat. I can’t comment on atmosphere as someone else picked it up for me. Dietary restrictions: Great option for gluten and dairy free options

I came in today, and from the moment the guy asked me for my order his energy was bad… (didn’t get his name but he had a colorful head cap on) every time he asked me “what else…” I felt like I was bothering him… not a vibe any customer should feel. Once he rung me up, it was a little bit more than I expected so I asked him why for clarity, very politely…. & he began to get very “matter of fact”, sassy, & condescending from a simple question. When I asked if why Parmesan cheese was not included in my BYO Bowl he very rudely responded “… nothing’s free” … instead of simply explaining it was an up charge. He walked away from the register before I could even finish making my payment… another employee had to finish ringing me up. Don’t come to work if you’re going to treat customers like that & don’t hire people who don’t want to give customers a pleasant experience. His energy was so off I almost didn’t want to eat my food… I’m glad I did though

The parking is horrible. When the ponce city market fills up there's no way to get your food. Circling here for 25 minutes just trying to get in. Seriously the cops will not let you come in. This needs works. Food is fine but if I can't get it what's the point.

Folks behind the line are always accommodating, but the quality of food preparedness is inconsistent. Have been going to SG in NYC and DC for several years, so was very excited to see down here. For me, I usually get a harvest bowl or very similar custom bowl. The sweet potatoes, cold or hot are always hit or miss. I don’t expect there to be any crunch to cooked sweet potatoes and always very frustrating to have undercooked sweet potatoes or the chunks were too big or small and burnt. Also the chicken has been wildly unpredictable — most recently the herbed chicken tasted like it was marinated in spinach, very bitter. Always been a fan, but feeling like quality control is problematic here. I might try one of the other new sg locations here to see if it’s just the location.

I live next door and frequent the shop almost everyday, so I can write a comprehensive review. I've found that the quality of service during vs. not during peak hours is vastly different. Below are all reviews of their service during non-peak hours. These problems are hardly present during peak hours. They are understaffed when not during peak hours, and the staff seem incompetent. Trash is thrown all over the floor. Unfinished bowls are left around without cover, and I once saw a fly flying into the food. You may see unfinished orders lying all over the place, while they are chill about all this, making very slow moves and chatting with each other. Online orders are poorly handled and often delayed. Once it was delayed for as much as 90 minutes. The staff don't seem to understand how the system work, as they often mark an order as completed, even though they haven't started on it at all. They often run out of ingredients in the evening, and sometimes may hand you the bowl without letting you know ingredients are missing. What's worse is some staff members can be quite disrespectful to customers, even though they are e.g. delaying your order or not making a bowl correctly as requested.

Edit: After some time this place has regained my trust. It seems they’ve done a bit of an overhaul to the staffing and the place is all the better for it. Workers and kind and attentive. Glad to see the place I Proving. Original: I live near by and eat here frequently. Typically I love the food and the staff is very friendly but other times I go and it’s so disappointing. The straw that broke the camels back today was service by an employee named Angie or Angelie (I’m not 100% sure as she didn’t give me a receipt). She got my order wrong twice, tossing in things I didn’t ask for and switching ingredients. At the second time I figured it’s no use saying anything. Then she drenched both mine and my girlfriends salads in sauce and even after saying no more put a little more in and acted none the wiser when asked what she was doing. I hate to give a bad review as most of tha time it’s tasty food but it’s so hit or miss lately and frequently only has one person serving the line event at their bushiest times. It’s a frustrating experience all around. Wish I could say better.
