Sway was an amazing Thai dinner! Waitress was super friendly and helpful. Many different dishes and cool drinks.

Such a cool place, kind of? As a restaurant consultant I have to be honest. Saturday 5:15pm. After convincing the hostess (I got the, we are fully booked routine when the place was empty) I just wanted a quick bite and drink I got sat at the far end off an empty bar and was told I need to vacate in two hours! Quick bite on my own?! I felt like the guy who wasn't supposed to be there. I then watched two staff chatting and after two or three minutes one came to greet me. Sounds fast; not when you are on your own in a completely empty bar! Once she got to me she was very friendly. I then asked about a "crispy" food item saying I didn't like deep fried, thought it might be like a slightly crispy pot sticker. I was told it was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle but didn't taste deep fried. It was deep fried and tasted like it. To be fair, the presentation was floorless. Looked amazing. Small but amazing. So in summation, beautifully designed space, friendly staff when you get their attention, messed up by bad, or no, training. I will be back and hope this was an anomaly. PS. I'm on my own so had time to write this because the staff did not engage me at all. Now I'm leaving (6pm) and guess what? The bar is still completely empty!

Great dinner spot. Love the ambiance there. It’s large, shared tables so don’t be surprised when you get sat next to other people. High quality food that’s worth the price. Short rib dumplings had amazing flavors. The son in law was delicious. Perfectly cooked meat with a nice level of spice. That with the perfectly cooked egg was to die for. My girlfriend got the pad Thai and that was fantastic as well. Everything looked so delicious that we forgot to take photos. Whenever I’m back in Austin, I’m going again.

We love Sway! It's always quiet and not super busy. The food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is perfect for a date night. We will be back again soon

Man I have missed this place. Sway in the Domain, it 2nd and former location was the weekly delight. And the food at this location in Westlake was just as good. It's community seating so be nice and get to know your neighbors. We started with cocktails my love had the refreshing Monk water and I had the bourbon forward Bangkoks Backbone both were great. We started with the prawn miange and the shu Mai pork dumplings. This food is not only beautiful its tasty. They bring food out as its ready. So just eat everything. The prawns are light but pack a punch of flavor with so chilis. The pork dumplings are amazing, Super crunchy and fun. We shared 2 dishes the nashi pear chicken and the jungle curry with a side of yams. And the yams have it, it was the most simple and delicious bite. But the jungle curry with beef brisket and coconut cream to cool the heat is always amazing. But yo...its spicy. We finished with a coconut lime sorbet and realized how full we were before it was time to leave. I was leaving out of town the next morning for a work trip and I recall not sleeping well that night, I know it was the fact of knowing we were ti going to be apart. The leaving is hard, but the seeing you again, the huge smile, long super hard embrace, and slow drawn out kisses are worth the wait. You make life worth living. I first discovered Sway at its original location on S 1st St, and although I’m sad to let go of those memories, the Westlake location is every bit as great as the first time I ever dined at Sway in 2015! This place remains our favorite restaurant around, and my husband and I have taken many visitors here over the years (who have all been equally impressed). Although we no longer live in Austin, we make sure to stop by every time we’re back in town.
