The best lunch special in NYC - SO SAD THEY CLOSED.

Did sushumai close down? They haven’t picked up their phone in a few weeks and haven’t accepted orders on any food delivery app. I’ll be so sad if so!!!

CLOSED! After being a delivery customer for a spell, I decided to go in for lunch and ended up coming here every Friday for last few years. I never actually got the name of the chef/owner or the nice lady who always served me. They were so kind to me and when I came after 3 they'd always say "we were worried you weren't coming" or where had I been if I missed a Friday( which only happened when I was out of town) Two Fridays ago the chef had just received a giant side of toro and he called me over to the the bar and gave me nice little toro treat as I watched work his magic. It was my best visit there yet. I came back last Friday to find him packing the place up! Noooooo! He told he meant to tell me that he was in negotiations with his scumlord and things might not work out and they didn't. He says he's not sure where he'll go but it might not be in NYC. He told me he'll keep the name no matter what. We hugged and I told him he will be fine wherever he goes. Look out for them in the city or possibly Long Island. So sad and infuriating. I'm sure this place will sit empty while his former POS landlords waits for a ridiculous rent they'll never get.

The best Sushi and Dim Sum in NYC. Way better than anything that London has to offer. Highly recommended.

Wir hatten zwei verschiedene Bento Box Gerichte die beide mit einer Miso Soup und einem kleinen Salat vorab serviert wurden. Wir waren total überrascht über die Größe der Bento Box! Die Portionen sind sehr großzügig bemessen. Ich hatte die Bento Box Sashimi und mein Mann die mit den Rind Röllchen. Zusätzlich waren verschiedene frittierte Gemüsestücke und zwei große frittierte Shrimp mit drauf. Sowie noch drei Dumplings, 6 Sushi-Rollen und eine Sauce. Alles war extrem köstlich und wir waren danach mehr als satt. Die jeweilige Bento Box hat um die 20 Dollar gekostet. Die Getränke waren ebenso günstig. Nach fast 10 Tagen in New York war das unser mit Abstand bestes Essen sowie bestes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Ich hatte im Übrigen Reistee, der immer nachgeschenkte wurde. Die Bedienung (Lisa) war sehr zügig, freundlich und effizient. Keine Bedienung war bisher so schnell und aufmerksam, wie sie. Dieses Restaurant ist außerdem sehr sauber und man merkt, dass hier die Menschen arbeiten, denen der Laden entweder gehört oder denen der Job bzw. der Kunde am Herzen liegt. Wir können jedem das Restaurant Wärmstens empfehlen und kommen Mittwoch wieder (weil es dienstags wohl Ruhezag hat). Ach ja, wir haben zum Nachtisch für im Hotel essen Mochis (Grüner Tee und Rote Bohne) mitgenommen, ebenso köstlich. Wir sind absolut zufrieden und happy
