Wonderful little Japanese restaurant tucked away behind a liquor store. Super unsuspecting on the outside and really, on the inside! The decor had attention paid to it, you can tell in all of the little details. The waitress was very friendly, and we sat at the bar as we did not want to wait for a table. The menu is extensive, and they do have a lot of offerings. The pricing was incredibly fair for San Diego and the quality of the fish was not top tier, but it was good enough to get the job done. We shared the pan fried gyoza, some nigiri and I had the chirashi while my friend enjoyed the curry udon. We both thought our choices were delicious and we were very pleased with the portion sizes! Overall a solid dining experience and we left with happy tummies.

Five stars for their sushi, service, and prices. The fish is great quality and taste wise, the salmon nigiri was melt in mouth good. The rolls have good flavor pairings. The karage has some of the best breading and flavor in town. The birria ramen was four stars, not enough toppings, noodles, and complexity

Very basic, nothing to really get excited about. Had a couple rolls. Maybe would come back if there weren’t other options, but probably would try somewhere else.

Got the crush orange roll, udon carbonara, matcha brulee, and rainbow protein roll. The rainbow protein roll was very refreshing. The crush orange roll - I think they forgot the orange aspect because we didn't taste any orange at all. The udon carbonara is best split among 2+ people - we got it with shrimp but would recommend bacon. The matcha brulee was amazing! Highly recommend any of their desserts!

Best hand rolls ever. Best spicy tuna roll. Love the pan fried gyoza too. They allow substitutions which is nice because I don’t do imitation crab. Dietary restrictions: They have Tamari for those who are gluten free

3/27/24 Ordered delivery through grubhub. I'm in love with their protein roll. It's a rainbow roll with soy paper instead of rice, and in the middle is crab, cucumber, and spicy tuna. It's absolutely delicious. I wish they had more protein rolls. I also love their sushi taco made with rice, spicy tuna, and a tempura shrimp, but it's not available for delivery. 3/19/24 Came for lunch. We started with the sushi tacos, which is one of the specials, and they weren't delicious. I had the Rainbow roll protein style. It was absolutely delicious. It's my new favorite. My sister had some kind of corpacio, it was a very small portion and just ok. My friend had the Linda Vista which she said was good. She couldn't really taste the lemon. They also said that the wasabi was very strong. Definitely will be back.

This might be my new go-to spot for sushi and for when I’m craving carbonara. Hidden gem in Linda Vista— you’ve gotta check this place out! Parking/Ambiance/Service: There were a handful of parking spots up front and a few more on the side. This place is tiny! There were 3 4-person tables, 2 2-person tables plus 4 seats at the bar— not best for large groups, just a heads up. The inside is decorated as a Traditional Japanese style restaurant, really felt like we were back in Japan! Low key, casual ambiance. Our party of 2 went at 3pm on a Sunday and we were seated right away. Our server was great and food came out very quickly. Food: We loved everything that we ordered. I wish we could have ordered more but these were filling enough. Pricing was very reasonable. The rolls were big (around 8-9 pieces). My husband and I shared all plates and we were pretty stuffed— had to bring home leftover Udon. -Yorimichi roll ($12): imitation crab, crispy shrimp tempura, cream cheese inside plus suuuper fresh seared salmon, spicy mayo, eel sauce on top. -Surf and skate roll ($12): spicy tuna, crispy shrimp tempura inside plus seared beef, garlic ponzu, yum yum sauce, and fried onion on top. The beef melts in your mouth. -Carbonara udon ($13.25) with bacon- you can choose between bacon, chicken, or shrimp for your protein. Bacon was cooked and tasted like Pancetta. Perfectly runny poached egg on top. Sooo creamy, delicious, and filling. I recommend sharing this. -Grilled salmon belly ($8): part of their monthly special menu. This plate was surprisingly bigger than we thought. This plate was served last and it was grilled to perfection. Melt-in-your-mouth and very flavorful. Overall: I will definitely come back to Sushi Yorimichi to try out more things off the menu and to check out happy hour during the week!
