Our go to sushi restaurant
Great service-staff is friendly and attentive. The food is always fresh and tasty! Dietary restrictions: Many options for lactose free. I noticed many gluten free foods and also vegetarian.
One of the worst dining experiences in my entire life. It took them 1.5 hours to make 4 sushi rolls, one of them contained a piece of plastic wrap in it. For an hour our server didn’t even come to our table and check if we needed more water or suggested any appetizers to compensate for the ridiculously long wait time. The initial order also contained a miso soup but they said they couldn’t bring it because (!) they did not have clean bowls (oh, and it also took them 10 min to bring us water for the same reason- no clean glasses available). After finding a piece of plastic wrap in one of our sushi rolls the server suggested to take that roll out of our check. But that is it. Idk what is going on with this place (maybe a combination of poor management, staff shortage, broken appliances ♀️?) but I will never ever come back to this place. Awful service
We went there on Friday night and ordered 4 different sushi. We waited more than an hour to get our sushi. While waiting we did not get any updates what is going on and how much more we needed to wait. Also we couldn’t get our water for 10 min as well, simply they did not have clean glasses. Also one of my friends ordered a soup and she did not get it for more than an hour also because they didn’t have clean bowls. At the end when we got our sushi we found a piece of plastic wrap!!! Never come back…
Gorgeous looking place with terrible service and poor quality food. The main area does look great and you can see the chefs making sushi. The service and food does not match the atmosphere. It took almost a hour just to get our appetizers and we ordered drinks which we had to remind the waitress 3 times just for one mojito. Now the food is abysmal, I mean who puts grapes in a lobster ceviche? It was such an embarrassment for the restaurant and to the friends I was entertaining as they haven't tried ceviche before. The sushi was fine. Not great or bad. I would stay away from anything raw here
Not friendly to people of color , poor service ,
We had an awful experience at Sushi Nami on Glenridge. To be clear, atmosphere and food were fine. Soup and appetizers arrived promptly. We had arrived early and the tables were less than half full. But then our server disappeared. After 45 minutes we asked another server for help and she said ‘We are busy- what do you want?’ My request for drink refills was answered with an eye roll and no response. After over an hour after appetizers, our sushi arrived. The check was dropped off without eye contact or a word. To be clear, the food was fine. And yes, we could still see our original server in the restaurant helping other tables. No idea what happened, it’s up to you if you want to risk it. Not worth it for my time or money. Plenty of other great options in the area
