I was a little disappointed with my roll because it didn't have as many braised lemons on top as it usually does, but it was still very delicious. The service was great as usual tho. Overall, I had a great experience and I will definitely be back when I'm in the area
Great spot for a lonely or friendly meal. I ordered an Unagi Don lunch, sushi and sashimi, crab Rangoon and takoyaki. It was all tasty and good. The crab Rangoon batter was too thick and unseasonably the filling was slim. It was like I was eating baked paper. Takoyai were A1 delicious. The unagi don was fine the most egregious part was that the rice came in a half child's portion. My server was mostly prompt. Looking forward to trying other dishes
We are from out of town. First time at Sushi Bay 17. Tuesday, about 7 pm. No other diners when we entered. We were invited to choose a table. A few people came in after. A couple of pick ups went out. Decor is simple and contemporary. Bathrooms are clean. Seating is for small parties. Chairs are not very comfortable. Benches are comfortable for smaller people. Sashimi deluxe was aesthetically pleasing. Freshness was edible. The pieces were, and the portion was quite small for the price. Seafood udon was a good size. The broth had heat but no body or savory. The noodles weren't very tasty. The amount of seafood in it was spare. About 20% of the way through my soup a hair appeared. The only time the hostess/server/cashier stopped by our table between taking our order and bringing us the bill was when I gestured to her and sent the soup back. She said "sorry about that" and asked if I would like another bowl or to reorder, but I had lost my appetite. No offer to comp another bowl of soup or a roll or something. My girlfriend's sashimi was gone quickly. Of course we weren't charged for the udon. The hostess repeated "sorry about that" as we left.
Chicken teriyaki was extremely dry and chewy. Clearly not fresh Sushi was average
Celebrated a birthday. The sushi was so fresh and the specialty rolls were perfect. Everything was so fresh and the presentation was top notch. The service was excellent. I called in a few minutes ahead and they had set up our table. The best part is that they celebrated my kid’s birthday in an epic way by stopping the music and play happy birthday and yummy mochis. Loved everything about this place.
Ordered here through Grubhub. Spent about 80$ including the delivery tip. The miso soup was in one of those tiny containers that you'd see sweet and sour sauce in. It was about 2 big sips. I didn't really think that was fair. I ordered a side of rice and same problem, it came in those tiny little mini containers. Ive never ordered to go rice before and not had it come in a rice take out containers. I feel like that was a also unfair. My husband asked for extra Wasabi, we ordered 4 orders of sushi. They gave us what I would assume they would give you with 1 order of sushi. It was crammed into a tiny ramiken and it was mostly the ginger. Kind of disappointing for the amount of money we spent. Won't order from here again, we use grub hub as a lazy date night. Next Sunday we will try something different.
