Good value Izakaya given the location. Chicken karage, yakitori, and salad were decent. Other dishes meh.
I’ve always been a fan of Sumika and on a recent visit I was glad to see that the food quality remains high. That being said, the service was horrible and I’m hoping that this was just a one off.
The food was horrible. The octopus with wasabi tasted strong and salty. The yellowtail sashimi tasted not fresh at all, so sour that we dare not to finish it. One of the waitresses says that they offered the same cut and nobody else complained before. This implied that the problem was on us, which we find offensive.
這間日式料理的氣氛、裝潢與服務都不錯, 然而食材與料理上相對於自己吃過比較老吃的日式料理店, 感覺略遜一籌! 特別是在魚的新鮮度與料理上有點差強人意!
The food was underwhelming. Ordered the agedashi dofu which was bitter tasting and had an overly salty broth. The momo and momo with green onion skewers were both under-seasoned and mostly flavorless. Additionally, the momo with green onion skewer had large chunks of green onion which were raw in the middle and unpleasant to bite into. The service was mediocre since our server didn’t listen to our concern about food allergies since the skewers we ordered were cross contaminated. Wouldn’t recommend.
Oyako don, beef tongue, desert are good Yakitori is slightly seasoned
Horrible service. Food? meh.
