Steak 'n Shake

Love this location, great food, and great service!

Even though Steak and Shake went to self service now, I enjoyed it. The machine is easy to use for ordering. The manager was great, the food was great.

I ordered from Uber Eats a combo from this store. I did not receive my cookie dough milkshake, it came up missing. The onion rings are cold and soggy. Plus the burger didn’t have any onions, tomatoes or lettuce. This isn’t the first time this happened. On top of that, they won’t answer the phone. Thanks for wasting my money!!! I will not be ordering from here again.

Dining room smells horrible

Don’t mobile order it will take at least an hour when barely busy, dining in is the best option but will still take at least 15 minute

Don’t go through the drive thru waited over 45 minutes on a Sunday afternoon

It is so sad that the Steak and Shake franchise has deteriorated into the disaster that it is today. I visited this location on Feb 4, 2024 at approximately 11:18 AM (I know the time because I saved my receipt). First, they don't have table service anymore. You now order at a kiosk. I couldn't figure something out on the kiosk and when I asked a question to the employees who were a few feet away at the griddle, it was like pulling teeth to get them to come over to talk to me. I ordered a double cheeseburger and a Chili Mac (i.e. chili over spaghetti). After I placed the order and paid using a pre-paid visa gift card, they called my number. The woman said they were out of spaghetti. She asked me if I would like another sandwich instead. I declined and asked for a refund. She SUPPOSEDLY ISSUED A REFUND (see screenshot of the refund receipt). The credit never posted to my debit card. I went back a few days later, and I asked to speak to the manager. The owner (whose name is Kahn) came out and said that the refund can take several days to post to the account--but it never did. He didn't ask what happened, he didn't apologize, he didn't do anything that a smart business owner would do. And let me tell you something else. This restaurant is disgusting. The tables are dirty. The bathroom smells disgusting. Do yourself a favor and don't go to this establishment.
