Almost no vegan options. The only options are either okayish brussel sprouts or a salad (no protein, just some greens) ETA - Thanks for the response. I'm here to see what changes will actually be made to the menu instead of just replies.
A disappointment, sparkling wine served in wrong type of glass, espresso undrinkable, server handling too many tables. Food was good not great
A nice place to have good cocktails and decent food.
A couple of friends and I tried Spruce Farm & Fish for the first time since I moved here. We ordered sangria which I don't recommend - it was really watered down (to the point that it was pink). The food was really good - two of us had Caesar salads with a protein; one got the red snapper special. We ordered the key lime pie for dessert. I will say none of us would order it again. We asked our server if it was "real key lime pie" and he assured us it was. It wasn't. It was more key lime custard pie with what seemed like a pumped up version of cool whip on top. Our server was a nice guy but we had to make several requests twice (bring an iced tea, extra dressing, etc.). And at the end of our meal, it took him three times to get our bill correct. I would definitely go back - just wouldn't order the sangria or pie.
Anniversary good but not great
Always an excellent experience at Spruce in the historic iconic setting! Enjoyed celebrating our 36th anniversary at the Boulderado and Spruce.
A delightful restaurant for an evening out with family & friends. Old world decor blends with good food & great staff!
Amazing food and service! Scallops were fabulous!
A lovely restaurant at the Historic Hotel Boulderado. The service and food are always top notch and t鈥檚 always fun to have a reason to visit downtown Boulder.
2.5 is my actual rating. The Chef should be embarrassed by what is coming out of this kitchen. I wish I took pictures, my entree (the sea bass with peas and squash) looked like baby food with a piece of fish on top. $40 for what looked like 4 or 5oz of fish and pureed peas and squash that tasted like they were boiled, pureed, and put on the plate with no seasoning and left on the pass for 10 minutes to dry out. The risotto on the plate - not risotto - just arborio rice cooked dry with some garlic and seasoning. No creamy buttery cheesy texture - you can't call it risotto. Disgusting. At least they cooked the fish properly - probably took 3 tries. Bistro Burger - 馃槃 tiny 6 or 7 oz patty that they overcooked AND because it's such a small piece of meat you can barely taste the quality of the "steak burger" that's advertised. Sad. The calamari was good - breading stayed together nicely and they didn't overcook it. They were tender. Clam Chowder Soup was good - but it wasn't hot. FOH - is what kept this meal from being a complete disaster. Our server Sam was friendly and did his job well despite being loaded with 8 - 10 tables at once. Management compd most of our food which was generous and offered a free dessert - which we denied because all of their desserts are FROZEN. LOL 馃槅. Get it together back there in the kitchen - I can make better food in my sleep. I only write reviews if I had an amazing experience or if I can help others avoid the suffering i had to endure.
